I get better service at Mcdonalds than I did here 1/8/2009

The waiter we got at the restaurant was the dullest and most miserable waiter in the entire history of waiting. Of course the four eyed wonder freak probably has a miserable life so that probably translates over into his work and it showed. He complained about a 20% tip we gave him and said oh ""it's worse than I thought"". Who complains about a 20% tip. I thought he would be happy with that because the type of service he provides, he is probably used to a 2% tip all the time. Pros: Hostess Cons: Waiter more

Good Value 1/4/2009

When you see reviews like the previous one, you start to worry why people want to write what I believe is not true. Pros: Great value, best happy hours in town. more

Overpriced 12/26/2008

I am unsure of how so many individuals can give this restaurant a high rating; perhaps they ate somewhere else and are mistaken, or they are employees... Pros: Decor, Location Cons: quality-to-price ratio more

Worst Service I've ever had! Seriously! 11/15/2008

I set reservations for 5:30pm with my girlfriend for our anniversary. Right from the go our hostess seemed snobby and in a bad mood. Our waiter was the worst I've ever had. He never gave us service or checked up on us and the food took forever! We were in the restraunt for 1 hour before we even got our appetizers! I ordered a beer and when he asked me if I wanted another one, I said ""no thank you"". and he brought me another one! He wasn't listening to us all night. Not only that, but there are many hidden fees that they sneak in. The food was good, but it ruined what was supposed to be a very special night! DO NOT GO TO Venice Ristorante Italiano UNLESS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BAD NIGHT! Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: everything else more

So-So 9/5/2008

Quality of food not bad, but not great. They forgot to bring all of our sides - the noise level in this restaurant is very high as well, so not conducive to holding discussions. Pros: Nice wine bar. Cons: Loud more

Once inside, you don't realize you're in a mini mall 8/3/2008

The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and wine. The Antipasto platter satisfied all five of us. Had a variety of different pastas. I had heart-shaped ravioli stuffed with sundried tomatoes and potatoes with a pesto sauce. I've been craving it since we got back home! more

OUTSTANDING 8/3/2008

when in rome 6/27/2008

Went to venice for dinner on wed. 6/25/08. My guest and I were served a mediocre 3 course meal on dirty plates and given greasy silverware to eat with. The wine was ridiculously over-priced. We asked our server to speak with management and they never came to our table. It appeared that management was to busy to attend to his restaurant or guests needs due to the fact that he was drinking with young women at the bar. After finishing our bottle of wine that was presented to us in a greasy, fingerprinted decanter, my guest and i attempted to end this disappointing experience. We walked out of the establishment and proceeded to walk along the patio of venice. To my disgust, there was the manager, with a much younger twenty-something woman that was now clearly intoxicated. my guest and i proceeded to watch this old man take off her sandal on his establishments patio in public and place her foot into his crotch. MY GUEST AND I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE DISGUSTED. OBSERVING THAT TYPE OF BEHAVIOR MADE ME FEEL VIOLATED I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW THAT YOUNG WOMAN FELT. I WILL NEVER WASTE MY TIME OR MONEY ON SUCH A DISGUSTING RESTAURANT AGAIN. VENICE PROVIDED ME WITH AN EXPERIENCE I CAN ONLY HOPE TO SOON FORGET..... more

Fantastic culinary experience and knowledgable waiter 6/3/2008

Myself and a group of convention business associates had a wonderful experience at Venice on Tuesday night. The Restaurant was recommended from a friend who had dined at the restaurant a couple of months ago and received a business card and a tour of the chef's table and wine ""adega"" from their waiter. If you have the opportunity to go to Italy...please do, otherwise Venice will do just fine. From the starters to the dessert it was just what we were looking for in our celebration of our company's success. Michael, our waiter, was one of the most attentive waiters we have had in many traveled cities. The recommendations of the Antipasto and Formaggi platters to the Housemade gnochi and the wonderful tasting menu from Umbria were perfect for all of us. Michael even customized our service to accomodate our large party and some of who did not want the 6 course tasting menus. We ended the night with Mario, the GM, making us a table side dessert of crepes and berries. What an ending to a perfect evening! We even had the owner, Allesandro, serve us part of our meal at the table with Michael. Go and experience for yourself! Pros: Tasting menus, Michael's service, Mario, Alessandro and the impressive wine list Cons: not much more

a gem! 4/9/2008

This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! This was my first visit to Venice. I brought two business colleagues and had heard good things about the restaurant. We were seated promptly at a table in the middle of he restaurant with a nice view of the wine cellar and outside. The wine list is incredible! We were greeted by a brunette server, Desirae. She told u sabout the evening features and recomended the ossobucco, veal, and halibut. I have been to many restaurants where their staff is not properly wine trained, but she was very knowledgeable and gave a great wine presentation. We ordered the Promis. I also recommend this wine. Mario came to our table and talked to us with his accent, making each of us feel welcomed. He also commented that our wine choice was a great wine. The food was delicious!! My clients were impresses, and I will definetly bring more clients there in the future!! This restaurant is truly a gem! Pros: Desirae and Mario. Food was to die for. Cons: valet more

FOOD POISING 3/13/2008

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISGUSTED IN MY LIFE! AFTER BEING SPILLED ON BY THE WEATER WHO LOOKED EXTREMLY INTOXICATED I ASKED TO SWITCH TABLES. WHICH WAS NOT A FAR STRECH I THOUGHT? WHO WANTS TO DINE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS TAKING SHOTS BEHIND THE BAR AND SLOUSHING AROUND THE TABLE KNOCKING INTO THINGS AND SMELLED OF A STREET PERSON. Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS A DISAPOINTMENT more
