Valentino's is old school, classic NY pizza, nothing fancy, just thin crust and solid toppings. The fanciest they offer is their spinach pizza with white sauce, delicious. The marinara sauce is also simple, but so tasty; I ask for it on the side and use it to dip for the garlic bread. Fast delivery, cheap, and a favorite of mine since last century. more

Yummy greasy cheesy thin crust pizza served here--not a lot of sauce--just how I like it! Sometimes the pizza is not the freshest if you get it by the slice, though. Sicilian thick crust pizza is also delicious. The restaurant is not the most comfortable to dine in but it's bearable. Also have yummy italian ice and great big sandwiches! These subs are the best--overflowing with meat, lettuce, veggies and cheese on soft white bread. Pros: Cheesy pizza Cons: Ambience is blah more

Best New York Style Pizza.......PERIOD! 2/1/2008

Stopped in the other day and was fortunate to meet ownership. Boy am I glad I did. What absolutely wonderful people and Mom is originally from Brooklyn no less. I even received an explanation from the gentleman owner as to why most of the pizza made in Southern California doesn't take like New York Pizza. These people really know Pizza! born and raised in upstate new york-----lived here in southern california since late 70's-----my search has ended, i have finally found the one and only pizza that lives up to ""New York Style"". This pizza is incredible. It is not too heavy on the cheese, just enough sauce. It tastes fresh and not greasy. The people there are friendly. I've eaten there about ten times and have had a great experience each time. Strongly recommended. Pros: Courteous waitstaff, Good menu variety Cons: No good seating. Delivery or take-out orders recommended. more

OK, no joke - this is it! Best NY style pizza in SoCal. I've never been there, I've only had it delivered. Upon moving here I kept noticing the box in my neighbor's trash...(they're all from Brooklyn) so I had to try it. Now there's no going back! Basic Cheese Pie is the best, however I'll have to take a trip there sometime, as I can only imagine how it will taste fresh out of the oven. Pros: Pizza, Fast Delivery Cons: Only Con is that there's not more up in the LA area... more
