I was bored and decided to come here since I saw 90% of people liked it. Let me say that they are absolutely correct. The portions are perfect, service is exceptional (I got my order taken very quickly and the food was brought out in less than 15 minutes), and the food itself is divine. The taste of the sake salmon was extraordinary, the lamb chops were succulent, and the salad was honestly quite delicious (and I normally despise salads). The mango cheesecake was absolutely amazing, im glad the waiter recommended it, and the guava and cream cheese pudding was a new and exciting flavor added to my pallette. A definite must taste, bring a date more

The food at UVA 69 is amazing. It is very of the moment. I understand there is a new owner and i even seen some orders being taken with ipads. The service is improving over past visits to the resurant. Highly recomended! more

I went here on a whim after not being able to find a different restaurant. I had always seen Uva but this was the first time we went to dinner there. We were starving and got seated outside. I didn't think it would be any good because the location was in a bad neighborhood. However, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I had 2 appetizers the bruschetta and the beef empanadas which were excellent! For dinner I had the penne and my hubby had the pork loin meal. The service was great and the people were attentive and the PRICE was exceptional. I must say it blows all the Aventura restaurants out of the water! Cons: its located next to a busy street and, if you eat outside, you have to yell over the sound of traffic whizzing by; and there are only 5 entrees on the menu. Besides that it was a great choice and I was lucky to find it. I will definitely be going back .... more

Went to UVA 69 Sunday morning with friends from out of town. We wanted a table outdoors, but as it was about to rain, wanted to assure being seated under the tent. This request seemed to throw the "hostess" off. We ended up going inside and standing by the bar for 15 minutes, before I could grab someone and beg for a table, somewhere, anywhere (it was not ovely crowded and there were several free tables). For a "new" restaurant, they could use a good sprucing up. Things are looking a bit worn. I am sure it feels different at night, but in the light of day you notice a little uncleanliness.\r \r Once seated, our waiter was very attentive and made sure we enjoyed the rest of our stay. The meal was wonderful! I had the three-egg omelet and pancakes and they were cooked to perfection. The eggs were fluffy; filled with proscuitto and mozzerella and the pancakes were fluffy and light. My husband had a burger, which he says was perfect. Weirdly, there was no coffee on the menu, but the mimosas are to die for. Granted, I did not ask for coffee, but I found that odd.\r \r I am going to try this place again to test the service. If it's good, I'll continue going back, if it's the same, cest la vie; on to the next place. more

Uva located right on Biscayne is an ok place for breakfast or lunch. The food is good and fresh, the atmosphere is fun and modern, but the service can be poor and forgetful. Every visit I made to this restaurant has been marked by good food and bad service. more
