Fun distraction 5/7/2006

I'm not sure I've actually *purchased* anything here, but it's a fun store to wander through. They have a great gift selelction on the main floor - unique things that you don't find at every other store. Their clothes are cute, they seem to cater to the 20 and 30 somethings trying to remain trendy. Prices seem a little on the high side because the quality doesn't seem all that great. more

Fun sometimes artsy clothes 3/18/2006

You can shop for women’s, men’s and home thistles/things at this store. Many of the clothes sold at this store have a modern, abstract feel to it. It isn't a cheap place though and the parking sometimes can get pretty hectic in the city. Shirts tend to be $30 and pants are about $60. more

great for gifts, ok for clothes 3/17/2006

there are a handful of shops i go to when i want to buy a birthday or christmas present but i don't want to think too hard. urban outfitters is near the top of my list. they have a huge selection of funny t-shirts (that i'd probably never buy for myself) and random cool or funny knick knacks that make great generic-yet-somewhat-thoughtful gifts. their books and housewares make especially good and well-received gifts. urban outfitters' clothes are a different story. the best phrase i can use to describe them is "pretty good." there's always something that makes me not buy their clothes: weird fit, little too expensive, strange color, etc. their sale section is one of the worst i've seen; it's pretty large, but most of the clothes are abysmal. this is not to say you can't score a great find at urban outfitters, but you're more likely to score many many pretty good finds. the accessories (shoes, socks, hats, scarves, etc) are probably the best part of UO's clothing. more

Great clothes and nick naks. 3/10/2006

This is a great store for clothes and gifts. The clothes have great style but a little on the smaller side. If you have curves like me you might want to avoid the pants. My favorite items at this store are the t-shirts and the little nicknack's they get in every once in awhile. I purchased two awesome bobble heads of Chich and Chong for a friend and he loves them. One year my boyfriend bought me the figurines from A Christmas Story and I love them! more

Urban Outfitters, good place to shop! 12/24/2005

Urban Outfitters is a very unique store, with a great selection of styles from various urban brands and also a large collection of weird gifts and books. Also offers a knowledgable staff that are very friendly. Easy to navigate. Well organized. Occasional very good sales! Sometimes the prices are a little higher, but still a good store. more

Teenage fashion works for 20-somethings too 9/9/2005

It's true--I am 25 and I can still find all sorts of clothing here. They tend to sell funkier, stand-out pieces, but they also have a wide variety of simple basics (like the Charlotte tees, plain cottons tees that fit amazingly). I also reccommend UO for trendy jewlery and for the housewares. more

Fun, edgy shirts 8/29/2005

Urban Outfitters usually has an interesting selection of t-shirts. Granted, they are trendy, and you're likely to see someone else wearing the same shirt on Capitol Hill or in Belltown, but some are pretty funny. They also have some that you wouldn't wear to your grandmother's house. Prices are a bit higher than average, but the shirts are sized right and fit well. more
