Universal Hardwood Flooring

AVOID THIS COMANY AT ALL COSTS: THEY ARE DISHONEST AND ARE RACISTS, as discused below: 1. Dishonesty. I purchased a lot of wood from them, and they badly shorted me on the count. My attempts to amicably resolve the situation was met with hysterics from its insane owners, Jeff Meltzer and his wife. They had the temerity to sue me in Small Claims Court on a specious claim of an unpaid bill, but I got the last laugh, when I sued them in a higher court, and obtained a very favorable settlement. Universal Hardwood and Jeff Meltzer were rank hucksters with me; and, 2. Racism: Jeff Meltzer and his crazy wife made racist remarks against my auto mechanic. They falsely accused him of being a mafia hitman. They then sought a restraining order, which of course failed. Universal Hardwood, and Jeff Meltzer and wife, have demonstrated themselves to be nasty and crazy. Avoid them at all costs. more

I've been using Universal Hardwood for about two years now. Whenever I order from them, whatever I've ordered always arrives really fast. They are professional and efficient at what they do. I highly recommend them. more

I was in contact with Mario from Universal Hardwood. He is fantastic. I have done home remodels in the past, and I have had a lot of experience with other craftsmen and subcontractors. I think Mario is one of the best. He was so service oriented. We had a problem with the concrete sub-floor, but Mario talked it out with another subcontractor on the site. They found a solution, and I felt comfortable and confident that they could do it. The floor ended up coming out pretty good. Price wise, I wouldn't say Universal Hardwood is cheap, but for the service they offered, the price was fine. I spent about $20,000, which ended being a nice project for them, and a nice result for me. more

Recently did a remodel and put in new flooring. They have tons of samples and were very generous in letting me have them to take home to help with my decision. They did a great job in explaining to me all the different types of wood and they have a nice showroom so you can see and feel all the different types. Their recommended installer did a fabulous job!! more

It is one stop shopping at Universal Hardwood. They have an excellent customer service where the sales team educated me on what type of flooring would work best in my home. Great prices, great service and a nice showroom. Would recommend to any one interested in buying hard flooring. more
