Best

I've eaten here twice and it's now a MUST anytime I'm in Raleigh. First and foremost, the pizza is AMAZING. I've never been to NYC, so I guess I can't make any claims about how it...

Horrid, just horrid. An hour later after my order was received, I was called only to be informed that the pizza slice I ordered wasn't available. I was informed that my order would be delivered in 10 minutes, but it was actually another hour. So, two hours later I received a very cold, flat, and bland slice of pizza with a lukewarm gyro with a side of soggy chips. Needless to say, I'm never ordering here again. more

If you guys didn't know, we've got a great new owner, amazing new managers, and even a brand new menu! more

This restaraunt is being revamped by new management/owners as a fast food restaurant. The selection is a bit limited at this time & they don't distinguish themselves from other vendors in the area, but it was good. more

Amazing! 2/12/2012

I've eaten here twice and it's now a MUST anytime I'm in Raleigh. First and foremost, the pizza is AMAZING. I've never been to NYC, so I guess I can't make any claims about how it compares, but I love NYC style pizza and this is the best I've ever had. It's phenomenal. Also, they sell Mexican Coke, so A+ for that. As for the restaurant, it's bright, cheery, and fun inside. Anyhow, the folks there are also really nice and attentive. Basically, oh my goodness, go get a slice or three. more

New Two Guys Pizza on Hillsborough! 1/2/2012

The new Two Guys Pizza opened by completely different owners in the same location is a great spot for casual Italian fare, especially pizza. My favorite pie is The Bronx. It's a red and white pizza with ricotta cheese, red sauce and fresh basil. I think it should be renamed The Wolfpack! The restaurant has NY style pizza, pasta, subs, salads, beer and several TVs. Authentic pizzas are sold by the slice or whole pie. All delicious! more

If you like Barely anything you ordered??? 3/9/2011

So, I was hungry, really wanted pizza but my favorite pizza place was closed. So right up the block is this place. Walked in, maybe 10-15 people inside, two wait staff, one manager, three cooks... Got a seat, a menu, waited for a waiter to come over so I could order some sweet tea to drink (if you are a fan of 90% sweet, 5% tea, 5% water, great place)... Waiter came back with my drink fairly quickly, then had to wait for 10 minutes for him to reappear for my order... As I said, I was hungry, so I requested a order (small order, only six wings) of wings with medium sauce as a appetizer, and a mini pizza (hello, only me for lunch). Well about 25 minutes of my lunch time goes by, no appetizer, low on tea, no pizza. The waiter had strolled by more than a few times, each time saying wings should be out shortly, they will be out soon... Well, finally, about 35-40 minutes into my lunch time, here comes the wings and pizza....Here we go.. No napkins, no silverware (had to ask for these..) The wings are BARELY done, inside or out, BARELY any sauce on the BARELY done wings, and, ready for it, wrong pizza. The waiter brings out this 14"" monster with most everything on it, also barely done, luke warm to the touch, could have used probably 10 more minutes in the oven...Now, I am still HUNGRY, lunch time almost over, so I try one of the wings, not sure if they were supposed to be fried or baked... NOT even close on the HUNGRY meter....Try a slice of the pizza, BARELY any sauce on it (no mention by the way, anywhere, that this may be how they fix their pizza here, with BARELY any sauce...)pizza toppings for all intents may have just as well have almost come out of the bag/box, whichever it was....AND I still had no refill on the sugar shock tea or a glass of water....Waiter said he would talk to the manager, ""she"" never showed up to talk to me, though he did say as I was leaving that he asked for something off of the meal because of the wings not coming out before the main meal...and she laughed, said NOPE... I did pay fort an take the pizza with me, which I took home for dinner, added some sauce to and reheated, for about 10 minutes, turned out ok, nothing to rave about to be certain...So, if you like going someplace for lunch and BARELY getting what you ordered,BARELY like you asked for it, go here, but me, another place crossed off the list of places to go for a lunch. Maybe this is my wallets way of reminding me that nothing can quite compare, either in taste or price, to the left-overs I usually bring for lunch each day.!! more

How does this person have a job? 7/25/2010

I have been going here since I was in college in the 70s. I have always loved this place, and I took my grandkids for dinner last week so they could try the pizza. I will never go back. \r \r 1. The food was excellent, and is exactly as I remember it, and the service was equally as good. My problem is not with either of those. \r \r 2. There was a gentleman in there wearing a ballcap, who I presume to be the owner. My waitress was polite and kind, all you could ask for. The owner yelled at her twice while I was there, and I was able to hear some of what was said to her, which included many things my grandkids didn't need to hear. \r \r 3. When we went up front to pay, the same gentleman was as polite and nice to us as anybody has ever been while he was ringing us up. If that's not enough, there was alcohol on his breath that I could smell from across the counter. \r \r I have told everyone I know to never go here. I really hope that this once great restaurant will be ran by someone better than this. I guess if you're the owner, you don't have anyone to answer to, but that's no excuse for the way he treats his waitstaff. Pros: the food, the service Cons: the idiot running the place more

Very disappointed 5/24/2010

I was very disappointed in the meal we purchased yesterday. Both my mom and I ordered a stromboli. We ate half and took it home to eat the rest for dinner. After warming it in the oven, what I thought was cheese turned out to be dough on the inside. It was so undercooked we couldn't even eat the rest and threw it away. The interesting thing is that the outside of my stromboli was crispy and darker than I would normally like it. I also thought the sauce was very thin and watery. My husband ordered a calzone and he felt his was good. I will not go back. Pros: Friendly Wait-staff Cons: Undercooked dough, thin sauce more

RESTAURANT AND MGR SUCK 5/10/2010

I used to go to this restaurant in college and it was the best place in town-now it sucks.I went on a monday and they had no mozarella sticks and i almost left-how can an italian restaurant have a major staple???-they said they had a busy mothers day weekend-well whomever ordered the food should have planned for this-then i got the fried ravioli-this was the only good thing-then the meal came and the food was bad and i only ate three bites-sauce had no taste and was thin-they took the meal off and i had to pay for the appetizer and drink-but now i have to go home and make dinner. The waitor said they had three complaints about the sauce and that the sauce was a couple of days old. I cant beleive that they do not cook their stuff fresh every day-i tried to talk to the manager because i do not think i should have to pay for any of the meal-i have been in the restaurant business for 30 years and you should never argue with a customer-he accused me of eating the whole meal and wanting to eat for free-i work two jobs seven days a week and pay for everything i get-all i wanted was a good meal-now i feel sick because he upset me so bad-dont go to this restaurant-it is not like it used to be and the manager is a jerk-plenty of restaurants in the area probably a lot cheaper and better. Pros: NO PROS Cons: FOOD AND MANAGEMENT SUCKS more

definately a great place to eat 4/1/2009

i just have to say the people at two guys are great and are putting forth a great effort to keep two guys tradition going.granted they went through a rough patch, but since the new owner took over things seem to be getting back to what it once was. friendly, courteous staff timely service and the food is exceptional and affordable.in these hard economic times two guys is your place to dine. Pros: staff, variety of food Cons: parking more

Don't do it! 3/4/2009

By far one of the worst places ever! The GM has the worst people skills I have ever seen. He treats the customers and the wait staff so poorly. He even belittled our server right in front of my table. This girl had been working there for quite some time and was a fantastic server. Between that and what can only be described as a very poor attempt at a ""special"", I see no reason for me or anyone I know to ever return to this sorry attempt of a restaurant. more

Simple and Comforting 2/16/2009

I've been going to Two Guys since I was born. Its definitely a staple of Hillborough St. and is frequented by current and former NCSU students. There is nothing incredible or fancy about this place. If you are a food snob take it somewhere else. It is definitely a restaurant that caters to the campus and its a great place to go for some comfort food at a relatively cheap price. The wait staff is not outstanding but they are attentive enough and allow you to eat in peace without trying to chat you up for a juicier tip. more

Great place 12/1/2008

I love this place! I've been to Two Guys several times over the years & I'm never disappointed! There pizza is the best, you can't go wrong. The prices are reasonable, especially with the amount of food you get. Pros: service, quality of food Cons: parking more

Rudinos rooftop 7/29/2008

If you want great pizza come to rudinos rooftop in north raleigh. You cant eat a slice without tons of toppings. Not to mention our beer is super cold. They have every sports packeage possible with a tv on every wall. I cant wait to go back to rudinos rooftop. Pros: Rudinos rooftop has great pizza, sandwiches and super cold beer Cons: non more

best stone pizza and homemade tomato sauces!!! 7/18/2008

we tried eating there on july 12, 2008 and were blown away on how good the pizza and spaghetti actually was, this place could use a little curb apeal, but once you eat the pizza you forget about that!!! a large 17 inch pizza with 2 topping was only $15.46, great value for such a quality price. service was ok, this is one of the few mom and pop type places still in downtown raleigh been there 35 years, so they must be doing something right. definitly worth going to eat there. Pros: good prices Cons: sometimes parking more
