We just moved to Powell and love this place. While visiting looking at houses we came here every single time. The only downside is that they were closed over the holidays. =0( ...

Waiter was unhappy with tip of $23 and chased us into the parking lot and said "Thanks for the F'n tip" in front of a bunch of kids. When speaking with the owner the waiter came u...

hats off to the management!! 6/5/2009

I have been a server for 20 years. I have eaten here only once, but let me tell you....after reading the reviews slamming the servers for wanting better tips and the management for making sure thier servers are taken care of...I WISH I was LUCKY enough to have managers like this!!! LISTEN CLOSE YOU CHEAP-O'S...after you have sat for over an hour and consider your bill/tip..remember this! A server NEVER forgets a face or a tip! If you want good service the next time, leave a good tip this time. It's pretty simple. And by good I mean this. Consider how many times you asked for something, needed a refill and it was done without asking, your plates were cleared, your order was perfect, your server was pleasant even if he/she has the same life problems as you. Now, consider the size of your party and multiply accordingly...servers are hard workers; they take you at your worst..you are hungry and bitcy most times, but we smile and bring you anything you desire. We are depending on you to appreciate this a remember that we only are paid $3.00 an hour!!! If you dare not leave a tip, I wish I could be there to yell at you as well as that manager that asked you if everything was ok. You are selfish and rude for doing that...If your finances are strapped, stay home and eat Ramen like your server has to because of jerks like you!!! more

DO NOT EAT HERE! 6/3/2009

Wow, After reading all these reviews on the tipping and getting chased down about it I no longer feel like my situation is unique. Apparently it is common practice at this restaurant to chase people into the parking lot and pressure them about the tip amount. The only difference in my experience is that after the after chased us into the parking lot, he said "Thanks for the F'n tip" in front of my 9 year old nephew and 3 year old niece. Wont go back. I take exception to the fact I was A.) chased into the parking lot and B.) Being cussed at in front of my niece and nephew and other kids that were eating on the patio. They expect you to leave 25% tip. If you leave less than 20% you will be asked, ah hem, pressured into leaving more. It is no wonder this place was half empty. I predict this place will be out of business within a year because of the way they treat people. Pros: Food OK Cons: Getting chased down about the tip more

Tipping Policy 4/27/2009

I worked at Tria for almost 2 years. The management is nothing but friendly and always willing to do anything to make their guests happy. That being said, they also need to ensure that their employees are taken care of as well. How do you think it is ok to go out to eat and not tip your server? It does not matter if you go into the restaurant 1 once a month or 5 days a week-YOU ALWAYS TIP. Do you understand that servers PAY THEIR BILLS based on what you tip us? If you cannot afford to tip, then DO NOT EAT OUT. I am strapped for cash quite often myself, but when I go out to eat, I take care of my server because that is not his/her problem! I am proud of my formal manager for defending his staff and asking that someone as classless and ignorant as you not to come back. Pros: food, service, MANAGEMENT more

A tip 12/1/2008

Funny if its a 2-5 dollar tip than why didn't you just leave it. And if the food is just ok than why did you keep going back. Pros: parking, food, service more

always delightful staff 8/8/2008

I have eaten here a million times and the food is always wonderful and the staff makes you feel like family. I have an extremely hard time believing that the management was rude. I have always found the family that owns the restaurant to go above and beyond to make sure that our experience has been a pleasant one. The food is always delicious and the servings are huge. Make sure you go hungry:) more

Tipping lesson 5/5/2008

The food and service are excellent. I have eaten here for lunch and dinner many times. I must take exception to yordanopoulos' tipping. It is commonly accepted that you tip every time you dine with an individual serving you. You can not take a night off tipping by claiming poverty. If you can not afford the tip, then do not eat out. Wait staff earn around $3 per hour. Tipping is part of their compensation. Under no circumstances should you leave no tip without speaking to the management. If the service is so bad that you feel no tip is called for then you should speak to the management. The manager did the right thing confronting you. He is taking care of his employees even at the cost of losing your future business. I was a server for three years and was never stiffed so it is not common to not leave a tip when you receive good service. If your bill is $50 than the tip should be a minimum of $7.50, with $10 being customary. The $2-$5 you mentioned is not acceptable for good service. I am glad you were embarrassed, you deserve it. more

RUDE MANAGER NEVER EAT HERE 5/1/2008

My husband and I have been here 8+ times and everytime but the last was amazing great service and food. My husband and I dont tip all the time because we eat out a lot. Not to mention that night was the night my paycheck hadn't been deposited and we only had a limited amount of money to spend till the check cleared. The first 4 times at the restaurant we tipped very well. The past two times we didnt inculding this evening. I had my best friend with us for dinner. I paid for her food as well as mine and my husbands. My best friend and I went to the restroom while my husband pulled the car around the front becuase it was raining. As me and my best friend were leaving the restaurant a man stopped us outside the front doors and said: "Excuse me ladies, was everything alright this evening...the food, the service?" I was polite and said yes everything was great and the service was good as always. He pulled out my receipt from where I had paid with my debit card and showed it to me and asked if everything was good why didnt you leave a tip in a rude condeceding voice. I was APALLED to say the least that he would even confront me about this, not only becuase its not a law or a rule at restaurants to leave a tip but mearly a courtesy. As well as the fact that he embarassed me infront of my best friend and customers entering the restaurant. While standing there for probably five minutes feeling pressured and getting chewed out for not leaving a tip I felt like he expected me to just whip out my card and leave a tip. Ive never felt so awkward and pressured in my life. After getting chewed out he said well if you dont plan on leaving tips just dont plan on coming back here.I am truely appalled that they would even say anything about a measly little 2-5 dollar tip that I should have left when I go there sometimes 3 tiems a week and spend almost fifty dollars at a time. If they were so concered with tips they should add a gratuity to each bill. Pros: Good service, Ok food. Cons: BAD MANAGMENT more
