The restaurant is cozy and has a very nice neighborhood ambience. The food is quite good, although somewhat overpriced. I've been to Farfalla many times, and have had a wide range of service -- sometimes it's pretty good, but on occassion it can be terrible (especially when I've gotten the wrong surly, bitter out-of-work actor). Fair Fare 1/31/2004

Having gone to the one on La Brea prior to this one I can say neither are faves of mine. The chicken picatta was bland and dry, the pastas I've had there have been very average. There's better Italian to be had. more

Living down the street from Farfalla is a joy. When I can't think of where to go, there is always Frafalla. Although everything is really good, I always find myself ordering the Gnocci. Neighborhood Niche 5/15/2003

The dinner was delectable, service was just perfect, and atmosphere was neighborly. The owner walked around the restaruant chatting breifly with each table which added to the warm ambience. I would recommend bringing your own wine and take-out available, too. The only downfall was the limited space of the restaruant - a bit cramped. Pros: Atmosphere, Tasty Food Cons: Limited Space more

Jersey Italian gives 2 thumbs up 9/18/2002

Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Reasonably priced. And a star sighting to boot! (Jack Black hiding in the corner covering his face). And if my Italian boyfriend from Jersey says he'll definitely come back, then you know it has to be good. more
