Everytime I have been here it has been bad music so loud that you have to YELL at the person right across from you for them to hear you. I will never go back until someone steals ...

Tin Hat is the best place ever!!! 4/28/2006

You have to love this little hole in the wall place. I am hesitant to even write a review, cause I don't want everyone finding out about this place. The drinks are always flowing and you never have to wait for your glass to be empty, there is a fresh one waiting. The food in bars is usually an "add-on", not here..it is good! My ex and I use to go there all the time for food and drinks and just too hang out. Check out 69 cent taco tues!! ROCKS!!! I miss living in Ballard for many reasons, the main one being, The Tin Hat! more

A beautiful thing 3/19/2006

The Tin Hat is such a great bar; I only wish that it were closer to where I live so that I could go there all the time. On second thought, if it was any closer I’d probably be spending all my money there. Anyway, it has a great, comfortable feel to it, good music, good food, games and awesome specials. more

Perfect! to me any ways. 12/30/2005

A good Friend of mine took me to the Tin Hat for the first time a few years ago, and it's only gotten better. Except they did get rid of the table top video games, bummer. The beer selection isn't bad at all. All the local favorites (Jolly Roger, ect.). Every night is a diferant drink special, things like $3mico's, $1.50 PBR's. The menu isn't your typical bar fried cheese and hot wings, but nothing to pretentious. You can still get a good burger, grilled cheese sandwich and nachos. As well as tacos, but only on taco Tuesday's. Atmosphere is what makes the Tin Hat not fore everyone. I generally refer to it as "my favorite punk rock bar in Seattle". Lots of cool stuff, puzzle caps, pin ball, Italian vampire movies on TV, and most important, a rockin juke box. No doubt about it The Tin Hat has the best juke box in Seattle. Now you could say I'm biased, and you'd probly be right. I do have a good friend that tends Bar several nights a week. I do have friends that spin records on Sundays and Mondays. I do live down the street. Even be for all that i still thought it was cool. Like I said, It's not for everyone, but to me it's Perfect. more

Fun place! 8/18/2005

The Tin Hat is a great neighborhood bar. It's casual and low key. The best part is that there are a number of games (Sorry, Connect Four, Scrabble) for patrons to play. There is also pin ball and an awesome jukebox, one of the best in Seattle with a number of indie and unknown bands, as well as the classics. They have a number of beers on tap and pretty cheap pitchers. Decent food too -- try the Exile Burger, a garlicky treat! more
