With signs posted both outside and at the counter ""Best Thai Food in Silicon Valley 2006"" by one of our trusted, local tabloids; one would think it would be a safe venture inside to have a tasty lunch. Definitely not the case. Usually with Thai we've experienced either exceptional or just ok, this place wouldn't even qualify as ok. The lunch buffet leaves you questioning how long it's been there waiting for you to walk in the door, and so we opted for the regular menu. Thai BBQ chicken with papaya salad was my choice and disappointment. The chicken was so hard and tough, and while the menu says ""papaya salad"" it was clear that's not what I received...close in appearance to american style slaw, however; mixed with whole peanuts and peanut sauce...which I can't have, and had avoided on their menu. My other half's meal, yellow chicken curry, came luke warm and rather bland. We both barely ate anything, but yet when the waitress finally brought our check she didn't openly address the fact that most of our food remained, she merely suggested I should have ordered #9 chicken..""it's really good"".
