The W Salon

Found the W Salon here on Citysearch, and recall hearing an ad on the radio earlier this year. I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. Jon gave me a great cut and color. I left feeling like a new woman. He listened to me and then we agreed on a color and style. He knew what would look good and gave me great advice. It is so rare to find a stylist that really listens. I am getting complements everyday. They have a new anex they just opened and it is beautiful. Booked my next appointment before I left. Pros: Loved the glass of wine!!! more

I used to travel to NYC to Devachan to get my hair cut until I found out that the W salon has stylist that can provide the same service. I have extremely curly hair and I'm always scared to try someplace new, but I took that leap after finding Jon on their website as a cutting and color specialist. I first went in for a consultation and style. He took a great deal of time with me and even taught me things about my hair I hadn't learned from Devachan. My hair looked great. Then I booked a cut and loved it. Best cut I've had. It's very "skinny" and my curls are very defined and I loved the products he recommended. So if any curly haired girls are reading this don't be scared and take the leap I did. I think you will be very satisfied. Pros: Someone who can cut, style and color curly hair. A true art! I went to the W salon on the recommendation of a friend who's hair I love. I must say a week later now I am not disappointed. I love my hair!! It is easy for me to style and the color is not fading in the least. Everyone I encountered at the W was friendly and extremely helpful. I knew this was the right salon as soon as I opened the door. They offered me a drink when I walked in, and I waited only 2 or 3 minutes before they took me back to meet my stylist. He was well informed and answered all of my questions, I feel like my hair is easier to take care of and do than it has ever been before. I am looking forward to my next appointment. I'm a recent transplant to Providence from the West Coast and I've tried a couple different salons in the area, by far The W is the best. My hair cut/color came out exactly how I hoped it would and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. I'm definately going back! more

I went to this salon about a month ago. It was my first time there. I thought it would be a great experience in a trendy salon. I went there for a cut and a highlight. I left 4 hours later with exactly what I didn't want!!! My highlights were completely the wrong color and to make things worse, the person working on my hair, completely fried my hair!!! I now have breakage and my normally curly hair does not curl and is frizzy and dry. The color is now growing out a horrible color. The products they recommended I use were terrible too and only made my hair worse. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who wants healthy hair. In addition, the staff seemed very unprofesssional and inexperienced. Please save your money, time and HAIR and do not go to The W Salon!!! more

I had heard the ad on Hot 106 and thought I would give it a try. It truly is and was everything Deanna said it was. I can see why she hangs out there and calls it her favorite place. I had a cut and color and left very pleased and the price was very affordable. I will definately go back. Pros: Really listened to me. Cons: I couldn't find a con. They were under construction but I know it is to better serve their clients. more

I was referred to Jon and I had a great experience! I feel like he really took his time and listened to me. We discussed color options and what best fits my lifestyle and face shape. The outcome was great. We ended up with beautiful highlight and a great cut that is very easy for me to take care of. I just love it and recommend him highly!
