Read this review to see how he helped my daughter in only 3 visits! It is heart wrenching to watch your child be in pain, so I was elated and relieved when Dr. Kohler of The Vital Enery Center on Capital Hill in Seattle was able to help my daughter go from a 9 out of 10 pain to a 6 out of 10 pain in just 1 visit!! Here is the story of why I sought care for my daughter. She was in severe pain, had lost all use of her left shoulder and there was no accident or injury which started this problem. We went to her pediatric doctor and an orthopedic specialist. Several xrays were taken which were ""inclonclusive"" and based on her symptoms she was diagnosed with nerve impingment syndrome. The doctors did not know why this happened, yet recommended a treatment plan of physical therapy, with follow-up visits every two weeks to determine if an MRI may be needed. As I am uninsured, this treatment plan became a huge financial burden. I decided I would speak with Dr. Kohler about all this and he recommended I bring her in to see him for an evaluation and possible treatment. The doctor requested her xrays from her orthopedic visit so he would not have to take extra's if not needed! Dr. Kohler not only saved my daughter from the dibilitating pain she was in, he also saved me hundereds to thousands of dollars! The first day Dr. Kohler evaluated my daughter she had no use of her left shoulder at all with 9 out of 10 pain. He extensivly evaluated her using various Applied Kinesiology, Range of Motion, Neurological and Orthopedic assessments. He concluded the best course of action for her that day was a gentle, non-invasive adjustment to her lower cervical vertebrae (C5)and had her rest on an ice roll for her neck. After having spent the past 5 days with no improvment or change to her condition I was not expecting much. Yet after only that 1 gentle adjustment she now reported only 6 out of 10 pain! She still could not move her arm, but she was feeling better! The doctor recommended that she come back to see him the in next day or two. I am so grateful to myself for heeding his suggestion! When I brought her in the 2nd time, he had recieved and reviewed the xrays from the previous doctors office and had determined my daughter had forward head posture with loss of her cervical curve and her first vertebrae was out of alignment. He gave her a specialized percise, gentle, non-ivasive adjustment to her first cervical vertebrae and this time had her rest on a cervical pillow, and then an ice roll for her neck. Guess what!? She could now feel her arm again! Not only that, she was able to begin to lift it and her pain was even less now! I am ecstatic to tell you that it has been 1 week with 3 visits and my daughter can now FULLY move her arm IN ALL directions and now only has a 2 out of 10 pain ONLY WHEN she stretches it too far! We will continue on our treatment plan with Dr. Kohler, work on our homecare routine to restore the curve to her neck and educate as many people as possible in the amazing talents and treatments of Jared Kohler, DC! more

I was walking around with back pain and having a hard time breathing for two weeks before I gave up on my own methods of resolving my pain. I went to Dr. Jared for an adjustment to find that I had a hiatal hernia and my back was out. One adjustment later, I was pain free and able to take a full breath. This chiropractic facility is quite fantastic! Not only is Dr. Kohler a very down to earth and precise doctor, he also explains peoples' ailments quite well and gives a great deal of information so that the client is able to understand exactly what is wrong and how they will be feeling better in no time. He explains his procedures so you are not surprised, as well as focuses on the client understanding the working of nerves, muscles, ligaments etc. He does not pretend to care, he actually does. Excellent service, as I have been seen by him and the outcome has been quite remarkable! My ballet neck has created some issues for me, but his work has enabled a more openness to the malleability of my neck. Very successful treatment! more

I went to Dr. Kohler after a scuba diving accident after my leg was hurt. I could barely walk. After 6 weeks of intense sessions, Dr. Kohler restored my leg muscles and now they are as good as new. In the process, I discovered the world of chiropractors, received several therapeutical massages, and enjoy spending time learning a lot about the spine, bone structure, and many other areas in which he specializes. Over the last 25 years, I have started several businesses in the Capitol Hill area and have always been grateful for my local supporters. In the vein of mutual appreciation, I want to tell you about a treasure on North Capitol Hill that you may not know about: Dr. Jared Kohler, Chiropractic Doctor and Applied Kinesiologist. Dr. Kohler's clinic, The Vital Energy Center, is in a lovely house on the corner of 10th and E. Boston, just across from Bertschi School. Several Massage Therapists and a Nutritionist offer their services there, as well. I am a landscaper and do tons and tons of stone work, sometimes too much for my body. Pushing hard on a project, I found one day that my back seized. I couldn't even turn my torso or my head even slightly, not even enough to slide into a car! Dr. Kohler was the closest healer I could walk to. And I am glad I did! In one (emergency) session, Dr. Kohler freed me up: pain gone, flexibility returned and I walked out floating and free. Wow, it was some magic! I had a wee bit of good sense to slow down my work, but Dr. Kohler kept me mobile for the duration and in good time, I healed completely. A year or so later, I was building a set of stone stairs, working late, and overdid it again. Oof. Once again, Dr. Kohler took care of me, though this injury requires a complete work-stoppage for healing time and continued care. Never-the-less, I could feel from the first visit that I was on my way to correction. He works wonders for me and keeps ME in business! While I may be the ""urgent care"" type, Dr. Kohler treats all kinds of issues, from injuries to preventive and wellness care. Dr. Jared Kohler is an amazing healer. I've been seeing him for years for neck pain due to forward head posture from computer time & breastfeeding & life activities, wrist pain, sciatica during pregnancy, & miscellaneous aches & pains. He's efficient & finds the source of the pain or blockage of optimal health with ease. He offers clear explanations, adjusts me so that I am functioning better & offers ways for me to help myself be it with nutrition, excercises, etc. He's the first one I go to if I feel like I'm catching a cold too, to boost the immune system. I was one of Dr. Kohler's earliest clients and was thoroughly impressed not only with his abilities as a Chiropracter but also in his friendly, personable and intuitively understanding way of interacting with me. I have been seeing Dr. Kohler going on nine years and have seen him accomplish incredible things. When I started seeing him I had a hard time walking due to two incidents in one week that damaged my sacrum. I thought I would see him a couple times, get to a point of feeling pretty good and move on my way. Instead I would learn more about my body and preventative home care than I ever have and stay with him on his incredible journey. When I first moved here to Seattle I knew I needed to find another AK Chiropractor because they are the only ones that seem to truly help the healing and stabilization process for the spine. My original AK doctor referred me to one in Seattle.
