The moment i walked in here i felt like i was back in college, beer pong going on, pitchers of beer and frat guys everywhere. The place was packed with cuties and i would say the ...

Worst

I wanted to love the place. Oh how I wanted to love it. I tried so hard, giving this place so many second chances, but at the end of the day, it came up short. Really great lay...

LOVE this bar! 5/12/2011

LOVE this bar! Its super fun, no joke... I love the little Lobster claw machine game and the SPIN WHEEL!!! $5 Casadores and Patron shots and whatever else is on the wheel. On fri and sat this place gets crazy packed, sometimes A LITTLE TOO crowded...Two stories but I rather be downstairs were they have some kind of windows. They have these ridiculous drinks you order in a small fish bowl lol and PING PONG tables. Tables and waitress if you want to order food if not there's a bar downstairs and upstairs. The crowd is definitely mixed, tourist, locals, everyone... more

My favorite bar in Hollywood 5/11/2011

Ah, Happy Ending, how I love thee. You are, by far, my favorite bar in Hollywood (which isn't saying much because I do not like Hollywood bars), and this is because, first and foremost, you are LA's Ohio State bar. I'll admit, my first two times were exclusively to watch the games, and I didn't venture out of the dining room, but the free shots when OSU won were definitely a plus. The foot is SO GOOD. I'm a huge fan of the filet sliders, and pretty much all of the french fries. The mac & cheese, and chicken on a stick are also pretty killer as well. On my last visit, I found out -gasp- there is an upstairs! Kind of a dancy, club vibe, but it has a bar and whatnots, so it was okay. The downstairs bar area also has a dance floor area (weird the things you find out when it's not football season), and... A beer pong table. Although I had seen it before during game day, I hadn't realized it was an all the time thing, so that's pretty rad, if beer pong is your thing. They have valet, and I don't remember how much it is, but it's pretty much your only option on parking (it's not too bad though). more

Amazing menu 5/5/2011

Do go here if you are looking for an amazing menu. They have everything from pizza/calzones to fish sticks (really!). I tried the filet sliders and they were the most flavorful sliders i've had in a while. That's not to mention the presentation, it did seem like I should have paid $20 bucks or more for these considering the work and love that was put into these. the waitress, Jessica, was courteous, quick, and had good recommendations. more

It doesn't get better than this! 5/4/2011

really can't believe this place only has 3 stars. It doesn't get better than beer pong at Happy Endings on a Thursday night! Great staff too. Gotta love Kat & Jared more

Cheap drinks! 4/29/2011

the drinks are pretty cheap compared to the regular Hollywood venues more

Lots of fun! 4/21/2011

This place is a lot of fun! more

As a restaurant this place really excels. 4/19/2011

I should caution that I'm reviewing Happy Ending not as a bar, but as a restaurant. I've been here once or twice on a busy Saturday night, and it's not really the scene for me, kinda crowded and just a bit "fratty." If that's your thing, then Happy Ending is a great place to be. As a restaurant, however, this place really excels. more

So I highly suggest this bar 4/11/2011

If you dont want to spend any money for cover, want cheap drinks, would like a really good DJ, spacious area, two stories to party on, beer pong, and two huge bars, COME TO HAPPY ENDINGS!!!! Just dont get there late because since this place has a lot of great perks for those who want a casual enviroment, party, dance, and have a great time. If you are going on a Friday or Saturday, I would highly recommend getting there before 11pm. If not, you are most likely screwed! There is also a chance where since there is a super long line outside, there will be a full house inside. But what is great is that if you can just stand around and drink or even just dance on top of the couches, they dont care!! So I highly suggest you at least try this bar once in your in the area. more

Big plus 4/7/2011

It has two dance floors, one upstairs and one downstairs, although I'm partial to the downstairs one as it's suffocating upstairs. This is a big plus, as I love a bar with a dance floor. All the fun, none of the fuss of a club. It also has a decent mix of top 40 and 80s-90s music. Valet is $4.25 and relatively quick in getting your car. Drinks are only decently priced for hollywood. Although, in the grand tradition of college-y type bars, there is a wheel that is spun every 15 minutes or so for a new drink special, and if you want, you can load up on $5 shots then (mysterious shots such as the "cabo wabo shot" that have god knows what in it). more

great place to hang 4/6/2011

this is pretty much just an average sports bar, decent size, reasonable prices. not a bad place to watch the lakers game more

Content 3/29/2011

Bartenders are super friendly, people are down to earth.  All in all this bar is pretty fun.  Nothing special about it but Happy Ending will promise you that, a pretty darn good Happy Ending, and a content night. more

This place was cool 3/16/2011

This place was cool. The crowd was really eccentric. Theres a big bar downstairs and a little one upstairs. the music was pretty mainstream. There was room to dance upstairs and downstairs. theres nothing different about the different levels. theres just space. more

I always have a great time here 3/8/2011

i love this place. haven't experienced any of the negative things others have posted, and hopefully i never do. this place is just so much fun, drinks are great and not expensive. it's more of a laid back college crowd i would say. i always have a great time here. oh and it really is a happy ending with an In n Out right across the street! :D more

Id go back 3/3/2011

Basically, it's a free college party for early-mid 20 somethings. Nothing glamorous but it often turns into a good time on a Thursday. Upstairs is Beer Pong, down stairs is dancing. Good College-feel vibe. There's a 1:2 girl-guy ratio (maybe worse) but there's usually a few decent groups of ladies to mingle with. Also good drink specials. I'd certainly go back (and will) on a Thursday more

Deserts are killer here 3/2/2011

The deserts are killer! I just have to say the Bunuelos are my new dream dessert. We also tried the S'Mores plate, which comes complete with a mini-fire to toast the marshmallows. The waiter's enthusiasm was cute when he stood there waiting to see my reaction at my first taste. Overall, the service was really great more

No cover 2/17/2011

Most drinks are $5. No cover. No line to get in if you go before 11:00. Valet parking but if you look around on the streets behind the bar you can usually find something. It gets pretty crowded but is a lot of fun! Dancing upstairs more

Never a bad night 2/9/2011

I'm not the typical Happy Endings patron and I'm not going to tell you what a typical Happy Ending patron is for fear of offending people. I will say that it's never a bad night at Happy Ending. Well, mostly, because I roll with the Los Angeles Dodgeball Society which entitles me to feel super special whenever I go there. Good Drink specials, good food, huge menu. Not sure what more you could ask for. I'm a fan! more

good recommendations 2/2/2011

So... do not go here looking for a great place to take clients.. Do NOT go here if you are looking for a place to impress a date... Make sure to check out this place during happy hour they have a great happy hour appetizer menu more

great time 1/20/2011

I went for New Years Eve and they tried to rock it with a 1920's theme. Cute concept right? Flapper dresses, hand bands, and no cover- it was too exciting. Even the bouncers suited up. But word of warning: it's TERRIBLEly difficult to dance with 1920's music, unless you were born in that era or know how to swing. Lucky for us (and them!) they changed the tunes at 11pm. Anyway, the people here are fun. I remember random NYE's head wear being taken/exchanged on my head, tons of tooting, counting down multiple times for NYE's in the east coast and not being sure when it was finally the pacific zone's turn, and not having to wait more than a minute for my next drink despite the massive partying around. Great place for a ghetto fabulous 'happy ending' the previous year. more

Good place for a chil, happy ending to those hollywood nights 1/13/2011

I came here to watch the Wild Card playoff games yesterday.  I have to say, this place was about as laid back as it gets in Hollywood.  There were plenty of screens around the bar area (where I was seated) so it's great for watching sports.  The bar is centrally located which makes it great for people-watching as well. I had the Happy Burger for lunch and it was delicious.  My goodness.  I don't know what they put on that bad boy but it definitely hit the spot.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it.  Now I just drooled on my keyboard.  See what you made me do, Happy Ending? As far as the crowd goes, it's a bit ... monochromatic shall we say, with some exceptions.  I'm fine with that.  If you are looking for the All American type of guy or gal, this just may be the spot for you.  Cap and the other bartenders seem like swell guys.  More than a few of the server chicks are cute.  I think this bar is pretty aptly named.  Good place for a chill, happy ending to those crazy Hollywood nights. more
