Response to Karen L. 11/9/2007

Around the time of Karen L's visit we were remodeling our back office and therefore had no place to have a cup of coffee. When our clients are in the treatment rooms we all go back to the bathroom area where there are two sinks. One is designated for myself and my staff. This is where we wash our hands before ever client since the sinks in the treatments rooms are always sanitized between each treatment and strictly for the use of our clients and their treatments. After we wash our hands in the back we sanitize our hands again in the treatment room with a liquid sanitizer; after all, we just touched the door knob. As far as telling clients the products and procedures we use, we ask every client if this is her first treatment and then inform her about the steps of the facial. Most of our clients simply want to relax and not talk. As far as the treatment, one treatment cannot undo years of problematic skin. If you have acne, because we exfoliate and uncover hidden congestion in the skin, yes sometimes the skin can look worse first before it gets better. Any clinical esthetician or dermatologist will tell you the same. The products we recommend are not based on price, but are based on ingredients and results. Because these products are pharmaceutical grade, yes they are more expensive than your typical drug store products. Skin can still be very active after a corrective treatment, therefore when Karen L. called back to inform us about this situation trying to help was the aim in suggesting another treatment. After 40 years in the beauty industry it still amazes me how some clients can misconstrue our intentions to help as trying to push products and treatments. What can also influence the outcome of a treatment is what clients' have done or used on their skin in the past. It is our policy to satisfy each and every client. If we fail to deliver great service, however unintentionally, please give us the courtesy to correct our mistake. Brigitte Rogers more

DISGUSTING 8/17/2007

i have been there once and once is enough. I dont know where to begin on the horrible service. the only thing nice about the spa was the young receptionist that always had a smile on her face. even when i left i asked what she was doing working there. I went for a facial and my face was left worse off then it started. When i walked in my "aestician" was eating at the front desk and led me into her room. I never saw her wash her hands, which is the first must if you touch someones face. Throughout the whole facial I could not really enjoy it because not only did she not tell me what she was doing to my skin, she just bragged about what a great salon she "owned" and how many customers she has and all are pleased with her services. I obviously was not one. After the service, she tried to sell my all these pricey creams and washes. the cheapest $40.00 for a 1 0z. jar. Are you kidding me? She told me " I would kiss this bottle" Well I never bought it to say the least because I looked in the mirror and I looked worse than how I started.. And it got even more intense as the days went on. I called to complain and they refused to return my money. Brigitte " the owner" who I later found out was my aestician said she would give me a free facial to correct it. least to say i turned her down. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPA. EVER. more

I wasn't impressed and never went back 1/16/2006

I do feel that service is part of the equation at a place, and tipping is based on good service. Lousy service means no tip. Well, I had a wax job I didn't like, yet the receptionist pressured me into tipping by holding my change and working the calculator with the "suggested" tip!! Because I am polite, I ended up paying $40, including tip for a 15 minute wax job that made my chin break out in acne. I would think that they could have used a wax that didn't require me to go back for a facial, but that is what you are dealing with here. Try the Spa Studio right down the street instead, where tips are earned through good service, and not extorted! more
