Around the time of Karen L's visit we were remodeling our back office
and therefore had no place to have a cup of coffee. When our clients are
in the treatment rooms we all go back to the bathroom area where there
are two sinks. One is designated for myself and my staff. This is where
we wash our hands before ever client since the sinks in the treatments
rooms are always sanitized between each treatment and strictly for the
use of our clients and their treatments. After we wash our hands in the
back we sanitize our hands again in the treatment room with a liquid
sanitizer; after all, we just touched the door knob. As far as telling clients
the products and procedures we use, we ask every client if this is her first
treatment and then inform her about the steps of the facial. Most of our
clients simply want to relax and not talk. As far as the treatment, one
treatment cannot undo years of problematic skin. If you have acne,
because we exfoliate and uncover hidden congestion in the skin, yes
sometimes the skin can look worse first before it gets better. Any clinical
esthetician or dermatologist will tell you the same. The products we
recommend are not based on price, but are based on ingredients and
results. Because these products are pharmaceutical grade, yes they are
more expensive than your typical drug store products. Skin can still be
very active after a corrective treatment, therefore when Karen L. called
back to inform us about this situation trying to help was the aim in
suggesting another treatment. After 40 years in the beauty industry it still
amazes me how some clients can misconstrue our intentions to help
as trying to push products and treatments. What can also influence the
outcome of a treatment is what clients' have done or used on their skin
in the past. It is our policy to satisfy each and every client. If we fail to
deliver great service, however unintentionally, please give us the
courtesy to correct our mistake.
