Worst

Without the prime location, this place wouldn't have the line. The food is decent, but certainly not worth the price or the wait, unless you're really looking forward to pigging ...

Everything in the menu! 9/25/2004

Frequent patron here. The menu is exactly what we were looking for....everything from conservative, ethnic and from sweet to spices. When you go, you gotta order the spicy cajun ""Jambaya Shrimp"" pasta, it's the BEST!!!! Had the ""Chicken Fettucini Alfredo"" once before just to see how it stacks up to the Italians, I was impressed! THe only think I enjoy at cheesecake is the huge brownie dessert that they took off the menu in the Marina the last time I was there. All of their meals I can make at home. THe service is bad. THe loud obnoxious parties that are there and that stay after you leave are sometimes too much, especailly after they have too many drinks. ...Going to The Cheesecake factory is a good bet! For a chain, they have done a great job of providing high quality food at every location I have been to. The service was below par at one location but that is not usual; a bit noisy for me as well but the food has always been consistently good and delicious with excellent presentation. If you are looking for a no-fail place to go for great food, nice atmosphere and great value then I invite you to check out The Cheesecake Factory-you can't go wrong. Bon Appetit! Valley CheeseCake Factory is Tops! 2/21/2003

The Pasadena Cheesecake Factory may have spotty service and food but the Cheesecake Factory in the Warner Center on Canoga Ave. has never disappointed me and my guests. They are always busy but try very hard to be accomodating and friendly. Staff is great. Food is great but not the best money can buy but that is why your there! Cheese Cake is Killer! This is what people think is the best dessert in LA? Doesn't anyone go to a restaurant that's not a chain? Like with a real pastry chef? Try The Little Door, Lucques, or Mani bakery. Cheesecake? For pete's sake! When I go out to eat I don't consider waiting for a table with a buzzer to be ""dining"". Waiters that interrupt your conversation so they can get you to order quickly and turn your table are just obnoxious. Sure they are fun and perky but is that why you spend money to eat food out? To talk to the waitstaff? Oh Please more

Not only Cheesecake 2/21/2003

Cheesecake Factory is great for any occassion. I feel it is an all around good restaurant, especially for a nationwide chain. While the restaurant is named and famed for its many flavors of cheesecake, other desserts on their menu are equally delicious. Try their strawberry shortcake or apple dumplings. Both will satisfy your sweet tooth and give you guilt. more

Great chain restaurant 1/19/2003

Sure its a chain, but its yummy! If you can't find anything you want on this menu, you've got some problems. I love the crusted chicken romano! And maybe i'm the only wierdo who likes Linda's fudge cake more than the cheescake (which is also great). Great locales too--the best one is in Marina del Rey. Bad service... 1/12/2003

I've been to many Cheesecake Factories and the one in Pasadena has the worst service for sure! I know it gets really busy every night but I guess the servers assume that the yummy cheesecake can make up for their unprofessional service. My advice is, don't go unless you absolutely have to because after waiting for 50 minutes the cheesecakes don't taste as good as they should. more

They don't take reservations but this place guarantees delicious entrees and desserts. The wait can go as long as two hours if you have a large party, but the pastas, salads, sandwiches and burgers as well as what's off the grill is tasty and large-portioned. Cheesecake Factory deserts aren't anything compared to Hugo's in the Valley and especially Grand Luxe at the Beverly Center. This place is always packed, and it's expensive, but the food is really pretty average. We eat here only when we get gift certificates - there is no other reason to go. Deserts are excellent, but overpriced. You can buy one of their cheescakes in the freezer section at Costco for not much more than they charge you for a slice at the restaurant! more

The Menu is full of yummy goodies 12/7/2002

The cheescakes are superb, i have tried many and loved them all. The food menu is extensive, and you will never go wrong in whatever you choose. The portions are huge. Try to go on off hours (between 1pm-5pm) because it is always crowded and they do not take reservations. But once you are seated the staff is wonderful. If wht u r lookinf for is good desserts. The cheesecake factory has got to be on the very bottom of anyones list, if not below it. Why Americans think that over sugared and a taste that wants to take u from the table to the toilet is good I'll never understand. The French and Austrians are known the world over for the finest desserts. They don't care about customers. 10/29/2002

14 of us were celebrating a couple of birthdays. We drove over to put our name in. They told us to please come back 1 hour earlier than we'd planned, because otherwise our table would be given away. We cut our party short at home, came an hour earlier, and they had us stand around in the lobby for 45 minutes (having obviously never even attempted to get us a table). Then our table was only big enough for 12, so it took another 10 minutes to fix that. The server was mostly non-existent. They were not apologetic at all. The food's great, but we'll never be back.
