Had a nice weekend lunch here. Service was very good and waitress was nice too. Wanted to try something new (but steak). I wanted to try mexican style steak. I enjoyed it. more

Food is great. The food here is always very good. The service can be a little lacking at times but I have figured out that you just order everything when the server first comes to the table, drinks, cheese dip, and entree. Then they just have to fill up your drink one more time and give you the check and you are out of there. more

Food was good. Service was okay could have been better but it was really busy. more

Had my doubts based on reviews but we decided to give it a shot anyways and turns out that was a good decision. Food was delicious and hot. We got there about 30-45 minutes before closing, which I hate to do but we were out of options (we didn't want fast food and it was a Sunday so things closed early!), the chips and salsa still tasted fresh and our food came out in a timely matter. If we ever go back down to this area of Georgia again we'd definitely go back! more

My husband and I absolutely love going to the Border to get our Mexican fix. We used to be Monterrey/Mexico Lindo fans, but tried this on a whim and have become repeat customers. We're not a fan of your ""gourmet Mexican"" places like Cinco and Pappasito's, so this is definitely not in that category. If you're wanting a great place to get your Speedy Gonzalez or Chimichanga fix, this is the place! The service has always been excellent as well! more

I frequent this restaurant at least once a week. The service has always been above average and if you're looking for extra special service ask for Carmen, she's the best the have. The food is always awesome, but I would recommend the Texas fajitas. more

Have had lunch here several times this is the first time for dinner. We arrived around 5:30 on Saturday evening we were seated right away and Waiter took our drink order almost immediately. He recommend an appetizer that was good. Cheese dip with chorizo. We got the fajitas for two. More than enough food for us plus enough to ask for a to go box. Will be back for dinner again. more

I started eating here around 2001-2002 when I worked at the Rhodes Furniture in the shopping center across the street (now American Signature or something else). I moved away in 2007 and now live in San Diego. Whenever I come back to visit I always make a point to eat at The Border at least once while I'm in town. The food is always on point (try the cheese dip!) and the staff are always friendly. Definitely recommend! more

Surprising experience. Loves this place!! the outside of this building is deceptive due to a lack of upkeep BUT the inside is a little slice of heaven. Very clean ...excellent food..wonderful service. \r There were 5 of us and they were very busy but we didn't feel the effect of that at all. \r We all had different fishes and ALL of them were tasty. \r Some authentic Mexican and some American Mexican so you can find what you crave here\r Highly recommended more

My wife and I are frequent visitors. The food is great, the portions are good sized and the prices are very reasonable. We also like the eclectic decor. More than anything, we enjoy the staff. Everyone is always friendly and goes out of their way to make our visit pleasant. more

I came here for my friends birthday, and I wasn't expecting much but I was so pleasantly surprised. I had the flautas and the meat filling tasted so fresh and well cooked, whereas normally a lot of taquitos and flautas just taste like some mushy mystery meat. The main thing was really the freshness of everything and home poked taste, even the rice and beans. more

My friends had margaritas and a Michalada beer drink, which I tasted of course and were very well made. For my friends birthday he got a crowd of employees to come out and sing to him with noisemakers and horns and stuff, then he got a free shot of tequila. It was so fun! more

The food and the experience were average or above for our trip. The Guac was great, and the food was on par and expected. It was very busy and so the service was slower than normal. Even though the Guac came out fast, we sat with empty chips or drinks a few times, and by the time our meal actually came we were all full from the chips and waiting. I would say coming after church probably hurt it a bit, and taking that into account i give it 4 stars because i would have been happy any other time. more

Am I the only one with love for Border? C'mon... It looks pretty shabby, the waitstaff probably won't like you, and if you want a quick meal- it ain't gonna happen. \r \r ...but it's all worth it. \r \r I'm not a huge fan of most Americanized mexican food because I feel chain eateries just dress up Taco Bell's ""grade E"" meat with some heavy sauces, and offer fancy margaritas to wash down the grease. Border completely eschews this plan in favor of great quality, low fat cuts of beef and chicken, hot corn chips, incredible salsa, and rice cooked to perfection. \r \r I suggest dropping by during a casual lunch. Not a working lunch, mind you- a lunch where you can drink and beer and sit for a while. The lunch specials consist of a ton of food, and are usually under 5 dollars.\r \r Overall: Awesome food, very low prices, non-chain restaurant. The waitstaff is often slightly surly and their English isn't great- but who cares? You're getting a great meal. more

Steak fajita nachos are great. House salsa is a little hotter than most places, which is how I prefer it. Fast, clean, friendly. Been there three times. All good experiences. :-) more

Once again, I am pleased with my meal at the border. This time the service was much better! I was inclined to leave 5 stars because I've seen the horrible things that people have said about this place; honestly people are exaggerating. Their food is pretty awesome, please try the beef and cheese dip. I lovvve margaritas but currently can't drink so I live vicariously through my husband who said they're amazing at this place!! This time we got the fajita special for two, it was massive, to say the least! My husband and I are heavy eaters and we had plenty left over to take home. They give you this extra large skillet filled with grilled, tender, juicy steak and chicken with onions and peppers and two tall wooden skewers of what tasted like wood grilled lime shrimp. It was amazing!! It also came with two full sized plates of rice and beans with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and pico. And I didn't get charged for my side of shredded cheese, which is awesome, because most Mexican restaurants charge for everything! So all in all we got this enormous amount of heavenly food, an appetizer, and some fries for our head turning son Chase for under 40 bucks! The border gets my vote, this will be our spot for Mexican from now on. more

While not spectacular, it's good Mexican food and has been pretty consistent since I was a student at UWG back in the 90's. The wait staff is always good and I can't recall ever having a bad visit. We visit once every couple of weeks and the kids enjoy it. more
