First visit to this restaurant and would return! Judging from it's road frontage, it appears to be a very small place...which is deceptive! It's actually very large, with two levels and two outdoor dining areas! Downstairs is a sports bar atmosphere with TV's on the walls. Upstairs is typical Mexican restaurant dining with booths and larger tables in the center. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most of our party ordered typical fare of burritos, tacos, enchiladas. But one ordered the special of the night, which was a grilled medley of shrimp, beef tips and chicken strips in a nice spicy rub served over chips and topped with a bit of cheese. It was delicious! On any order I would suggest the beef tips or shrimp over shredded chicken (which wasn't flavorful). Most of our typical dishes were in a red sauce, very little cheese. So if you are a cheese fan, ask for extra. Chips and salsa were good and plentiful. more

I just love the atmosphere. You feel like you are part of their family and that sets the atmosphere. Usually you don't have to ask for anything, they are always checking with you at the right time. All the food is wonderful, the salsa is different and very tasty. Just a great place to be with friends and do some fellow shipping. I actually go once a week. more

The Border is as good as it is. It would have no problem competing in most other markets. Good food, cold beer, friendly staff. You can't go wrong. Definitely your safest bet if you're looking to eat out more

We have been coming to The Border for over five years, partly because the location is close and we absolutely love the staff! Don't expect a lot of creativity in the menu but expect good predictable traditional Mexican food! Sometimes that's exactly what the doctor ordered. Get the border dip with fresh jalape?os more

My sister and I have been coming here for 10 plus years. She always gets a steak burrito specially made with rice and beans. \r \r I'm a major fan of their chicken soft tacos with rice and beans. The chicken is shredded unless otherwise depicted. You can get fajita style if you want. \r \r Of course we cannot have our meal with margaritas. Texas style on the rocks.....is our favorite. Most definitely worth the little extra in price. \r \r Staff is always friendly and take the extra time to make sure we are happy with our meal. \r \r We consider them authentic Mexican. It is to be our spot every Friday prior to our move. Now it is on occasion. If only they opened another location. more

Located near West Georgia College, it's the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to and I don't like Mexican food. It's one of my dads favorite Mexican restaurants. He went there often when he was working close by. The waiting staff are very friendly. more

I would eat here again. In town for business. I've eaten at the Lazy donkey in town before. Either place is the same for me. Typical Mexican food made american style. Service was good. Eat dinner here. Food was typically priced for a place like this. No alcohol or desert for me. Just dinner. \r They do have an outdoors area that looked pretty decent. And they look like they can handle pretty good sized crowds. The location is really close to the University. more

So my boyfriend and I have probably been here 20 times in 6 months. The food is pretty good . Over all the salsa is great we get big cups of it to go all the time. Try the border special or the border dip two of my favorites! more

love this place... \r I almost never say that in a review either, I think. \r outdoor patio makes me feel like I'm on vacation; the food is pretty good but super cheap so it doesn't have to that great. servers are hard working and friendly, even though they don't speak a lot of English. \r perfect place for lunch. \r check it out. more

I really enjoyed the food here, it was tasty and authentic. The only thing that wasn't superb about this place was the service, in his defense I think he was busy(even though he only had three tables).I definitely recommend the beef and cheese dip. And my husband said the margarita was awesome! So get one of those too! more

The food here is fantastic. I had the chicken burrito and taco with an extra taco and it was great. The chicken was very flavorful! My date had the fish tacos which were equally good. We order the half pitcher of margaritas and it was STRONG! We didn't even order top shelf alcohol. The only thing I would change about our meal were the refried beans, they were a little runny. Overall, we were thoroughly satisfied. more

Visited this restaurant a few weeks ago while working in Smyrna! Salsa and Chips were so good...our beer was very cold & yummy! We ordered the mushroom quesadilla with rice & beans! Rice & beans were good but a little disappointed with the quesadilla the mushrooms were really dry and there was very little cheese on it! We will go back and try something else...just think they had an off day with the mushrooms! more

This the third time I have came here . and I lobe this place. The people here are super nice, and the food is great I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old and they eat their food every time And the chips we have to get 3 refills on chips each time. A1 place. more
