Service is not good – We waited a long time before we made a complaint and were told that it was taking time to defrost the meat. When we asked another server, she informed us that our food are being defrosted. When received the food , the meat did not taste normal. We walk out and went to the next Door Skewers Café which made our day a lot better. Now that is really bad service. What is worse is being lied to and have the manager confirm the lie, or receive spoiled food. It will be a cold place in some place before we go back to that place. Some people just have that uncanny ability to lie with a smile. We have noticed that less and less customers are going back. more

When we asked another server, she informed us that our orderv had been mistakenly served to another customer. Now that is really bad service. What is worse is being lied to and have the manager confirm the lie. It will be a cold place in some place before we go back to that place. Some people just have that uncanny ability to lie with a smile. We have noticed that less and less customers are going back. more

My favorite Thai place 7/11/2011

This place has the best spring rolls, the best tom cha soup (sp?), yummy curry of all the colored varieties, and really great lunch specials! I've never been disappointed and the atmosphere is simple, pretty, and quiet. more

I have been going to Thai Cottage from the moment they opened. As they have grown into an established thai restaurant that is packed all of the time, unfortunately they have lost that wow factor in their food. The decor has been upgraded for sure and while i appreciate it, to me the focus of a restaurant should be to maintain the standard of food more

The BEST Thai Restaurant I have ever been to 7/2/2009

This is my favorite restaurant because the food is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. I do not have a very high tolerance for spicey food but I love the flavor of Thai food which usually turns out to be a problem. Every other Thai restaurant I have ever been to cannot seem to control the level of spice in the dishes at all. Thai Cottage knows exactly how to control the level so you can actually enjoy the meal. The lunch special is awesome (around $6-7 for a crispi vegetarian roll, a salad with an amazing peanut sauce, and an entre). The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Seriously, I think I might have an addiction to this food because I crave it all the time. Pros: Red Curry is to die for Cons: Not opened on Sundays more

Best place to eat before a movie. 5/4/2009

I love to go here before I go to the movies. (there is an Edwards Cinema next door). I like their fried spring rolls. I think they call them twin rolls. I also get the Tom yum guy (I think). Its a lemon grassy soup with straw mushrooms and chicken. Then I get a yellow curry chicken. You have to order the curry extra spicy. they are afraid of hurting their customers there. Pros: great food Cons: a little slow more

Favorite Lunch Place 3/24/2009

Food is delicious and service is pretty quick once your seated. My favorite lunch dishes are the Red Curry & Spicy Shrimp. If you are in a hurry, you will need to arrive early as the place fills up quickly. Also, I recommend to request for ""Anong"" for your waitress, she is very polite, checks on you to make sure you have what you need and with a very sweet personality, lovely lady! Pros: The Red Curry or Spicy Shrimp Cons: None that I know of more

Best Thai Lunch in the Houston Area 2/4/2009

I have eaten at several Thai restaurants throughout the country and this is about the best and most affordable I have eaten at. The Red Curry is absolutely delicious and can be spiced to taste. For lunch you get the entree, soup or salad, and a crispy roll for under ten dollars. Its an excellent bargain. If Thai curry is not your thing then any of the other choices are excellent as well, as I have never had anything on the menu that is bad. I would recommend the Chili Mint Chicken if you are looking for something a little on the different side. As for the service, it is excellent, my tea glass is always refilled before I get half way done with it. Pros: Great Service, food, and value Cons: Not a lot of room, no refills on sodas, very busy at lunch more

If anyone is looking for some great and inexpensive Thai food, this is the place. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the service is very prompt. I would strongly recommend the spring rolls and their peanut sauce is the best! The weekday lunch specials are also great; a full meal for under $10. I try to go here at least once every couple of weeks. Pros: Ambience, Food, Service, Food Variety more

Thai Cottage is a great casual date restaurant. I met my girlfriend here. Actually we met online and both thought that having dinner at Thai Cottage would be a perfect first date. It was - Thai Cottage is a good place that is great for conversation and is conveniently located next to the Edwards Cinema. My girlfriend and I make sure we visit this restaurant at least once in a month. Recently we celebrated our 6 month anniversary here. In addition to the casual and conversational atmosphere, the food is soo good. We love the spicy chicken wings. My girlfriend always eats the yellow curry. She likes it very much. I try different things every time and have never been disappointed. Its a very small restaurant but definitely worth a visit. Just be careful when you order the wings cause it takes more than half hour for your order to be served. Other than that its an awesome restaurant. And this restaurant has always a special place in my heart as I first met my girlfriend in Thai cottage.... more

I started patronizing this particular location in March of 2008 after starting a new job. The only thing that I ever ordered were the spring rolls and they were always fresh and tasty and the peanut sauce they used was excellent. Pros: Good food. Cons: Seems not to value African American customers. more

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I have never been disappointed with Thai Cottage. The service is ok but what is outstanding is the food! You cannot go wrong with the crispy rolls for appetizers; try the Panang Curry, Red Curry, Pad Thai, Princess Chicken, Chili Basil or Sizzling Beef for your entree and the Fried Banana with the coconut ice cream! i was introduced to Thai Cottage about 6 years ago by my mother. i now since that first day of tasting their wonderful food have an addiciton problem. Enjoying the Princess Chicken number three spicy with extra veggies. i can not get enough. i highly reccommend this food to anyone who wants to either try something new, or for those who want a new hobby of eating out at this place everyday. get an order of the crispy rolls, you will love them. the prices are so reasonable and the environment is great. please try and enjoy!!! don't say i didn't warn you. Pros: the prices and the food is wonderful. Cons: i don't have a big enough tummy for more food. more
