Love Taylor Stevens 11/24/2011

I love the aveda products they use. My hair color always last longer and comes out soft and shining.I've seen several stylists and they all really listened it what I wanted and suggested their thoughts on what would be good. I really like Jessica. She really takes the time to educate you on any ?? you have about hair. more

Highlights by Courtney 11/21/2011

Courtney is one of the best stylists I have worked with. She is professional, talented, and always listens to me as the customer and ensures I am satisfied when I leave. The quality of her work is outstanding. I have to also share that working with John for scheduling is wonderful. He is excellent and knows what to do. John is a good example of how someone can keep the business running smoothly and on time. What I like best is that he always greets me by name and answers questions without making me feel as if he is in a hurry. Keep up the good work! Betsy Irish more

A perfectly wonderful experience 11/18/2011

I visited Taylor Stevens the other day and can't wait to go back. Jennifer does a fabulous job and the overall experience is a relaxing treat for an over-worked mom like me. I would love to go there every time I need a haircut but unfortunately the prices hold me back from being able to do so. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. more

my facial was great 11/14/2011

hi, i had a facial this past saturday. i had been scheduled awhile ago, but the person who was supposed to do the service , became ill and you called to cancel. this seemed to work out anyway, because i had alexis. the last time i had a facial, which was some time ago, i had alexis. she was very good at what she does. she was very professional and yet very friendly at the same time. my only drawback is i was late for my service, as i drive from chicago to come to taylor stevens. so, i imagine it would have been even better had i been on time. i would highly recommend alexis. i also , think it might be nice to ask the patron if they would like to know what exactly was used on their skin for the service....even if you dont purchase all of the items immediately, that doesnt mean you wont purchase them later. thanks alexis for a great relaxing facial.... more

Too busy to be comfortable 11/14/2011

I received a gift certificate to Taylor Stevens. I called and set up and appointment for a cut and color. When I arrived, I was told that a) the stylist was running behind and b) there wouldn't be time for a color unless I was okay with just a single color (no highlights/lowlights). Okay... Then when I was taken back to get my hair washed, they were having problems with the on-demand water heater. Okay... Then when I met with the stylist, she was very very nice and apologetic about the over-booking. I was understanding, but definitely felt rushed through the whole process. There was another client waiting next to me while her color processed. So in the end, I got a haircut that I'm okay with, but don't feel that "oohhh" feeling that you should after getting your hair cut at a top salon. Now to figure out what to do with the rest of the gift certificate... more

I have been coming to Taylor Stevens for about five years. Tiffany has never disappointed me! She is a stylist who has a passion for what she does and it shows in her work. She is warm,friendly and extremely professional. All the staff at Taylor Stevens are extremely friendly and are very knowledgable about their specific jobs. more

Open House 11/6/2011

A friend and I attended an Open House on Friday,Nov 4th and were treated to the staff's and owners' hospitality. We met the owners, Steve and Andrea, and many of the staff who were very attentive in making sure we had a good time. I've recently returned to the salon after several years to have my hair cut and color provided by Amy and been very happy with the results. more

Bottom line: fabulous 11/4/2011

I've been to Taylor Stevens a few times for different services, and I've never received bad or discourteous service and the end results are always great. I believe Aveda salons offer the best that's readily available, and after being to a few in different areas, Taylor Stevens also upholds certain standards and its employees are excellent. My most recent visit I had a cut done by Courtney, and I have to say she's one of the most easygoing and well-trained stylists I've ever had. Besides getting my hair the way I wanted it, without me having (to try) to explain myself a lot, she understood what I wanted and delivered. Can't ask for more than that. I'm usually not one for a lot of chit chat with stylists, but she made me comfortable. more
