Tammy's Cleaners

I recently was visiting family in Austin and had to have a quick turn around on some drying cleaning while there. I took it to Tammy's and had a great experience... quick and courteous service. I think the lady said she's a new manager there. Very good experience!!!! more

When I read the other couple of reviews I was hesitant to try Tammy's out, however I was very pleased with their service. I had a pair of my favorite jeans repaired and they did an amazing job. All of the other dry cleaning items I had cleaned also came back in perfect condition. more

HORRIBLE!! I needed to get a futon slip cover cleaned, and although I have never tried Tammy's before decided to try it out since it's on the way to work. \r \r I just went in today to pick up the slip cover and it is TORN TO SHREDS. The attitude of the woman behind the counter was completely I-could-care-less. She never apologized, just kept sayign that it was easy to see how it could happen given the stitching of the slip cover. She said that they could sew it back, and then grabbed my credit card to run for the price of the dry cleaning. I could not believe that she would have even considered charging me and snatched my card back. \r \r I just can't believe 1)that they were going to try and pass that off as a finished job when the destruction to the item was so blantant and obvious and 2)never got any kind of apology for terrible service. \r \r Maybe it is fast and cheap, but you pay for what you get. They shrunk my brand new linen pants, because they washed them instead of dry cleaning them. I took them back in, and the manager refused to compensate me for the pants. He said that I should have told them to dry clean them. A.) a cleaners should know to only dry clean 100% linen, and b.) the tag says dry clean only. Pros: I know now to never go back Cons: Incompetent more
