Talro insurance is a very bogus company...they took a down payment from me and sent a bill to my house that said it's five days in default. I clearly have receipts of purchasing my car on the 4th of one month but here it is the end of the same month and it's already 5 days in default...damn!!!! Well ok then just cancel that shit...hell no wonder you guys only have 3 offices lol unprofessional people. more

They are the worst. What they are doing is fraud. I paid for their services for years and when I got into an accident, they made me send it somewhere for an estimate where they give u a smaller estimate than the deductible so they don't have to pay squat. They have a deal with the company where thy will send u. They pay them. They are they worst ever and law enforcement should start looking into it. more

Insurance Fraud 12/28/2012

This company let their insured use my address fraudulently. The Kane County Sheriff showed up at my door with lights flashing looking for the Talro insured party & in the process scaring my daughter badly. I contacted Talro & they did not correct the problem. Further legal action will be needed. more

Talro insurance 6/7/2012

Talro is a fraud company, I took insurance from them and I cancelled it within 2 months and I wrote a letter to cancel my policy, when I asked about my refund they told me it will take upto 4 Weeks to get refund and its now more than 2 months didnt got my refund. I keep calling them regularly and they said its on its way n still didnt get it so m gonna file a complaint against them. Dont go for Talro its fraud I will pay more to another insurer then Talro. more

CRAPPY!! SERVICE! 4/9/2011

I called to ask for a quote but they kept me transferring and putting me on hold, one time they even hung up on me.. they are unprofessional and rude! I asked to talk to the supervisor or manager to complain abut the service and bitch told me they are very busy and she put me on hold! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TALRO TO ANYONE.. IM WITH MAGNUN ,, THEY HAVE BETTER PRICES.. more

I regret even bothering to call this unprofessional people! the first time I called they had me waiting for about 15 min. when someone finally answered she put me back on hold! so i hung up! I called again the following day but got the exact same crap and this time they were the ones who hung up on me ! so I said this cant happen 3 times! that would be ridiculous!, but guess what people! they had the nerve to put me on hold two times again after waiting forever on the phone, when they finally picked up the phone i asked to talk to one of the supervisor or manager.. .. I asked her if that was how they treated their customers, she said sir! we are very busy and she put me on hold again! I NEVER CALLED BACK, AND NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND TALRO INSURANCE TO ANYONE! more

HORRIBLE! 5/28/2010

I used Talro through the recommendation of my dealer, I was buying a car, my usual insurance company wasn't open, and I needed coverage before I could leave. BIG MISTAKE! I made a payment that day over the phone, but didn't end up taking the car. I called them, told them, and they said they canceled it. A month later, I got a bill in the mail, called them again, said it was canceled and not to worry about it. This went on for months, even after I sent a certified letter instructing them to cancel via certified mail as requested. Finally I got a letter saying I was being canceled due to lack of payment and I now owed a deposit to be reinstated. This was in January of 2008, I am still to this day waiting for my refund check for what I paid, I've received two checks for the wrong amount, when I called again today after receiving the wrong check, I was transferred, as usual, to several people that didn't know what they were doing, and told the check I was sent was no longer valid because they closed their checking account due to fraud. So, if I had cashed it, it would have bounced and I would have banking fees on top of everything. I was told I would receive a call back in an hour so they could look into the matter, it has been 3 and I haven't heard anything. SKIP IT!!!!! They are very unprofessional, I'd hate to think how service would be if I was in a car accident! more

i like Talro when my car was in an accident there was no problem what so ever. Everything was right on time only problem I had they didn't want to pay for my battery even if was damage due to the accident nor the tires now that's crazy! But on the other hand they are o.k. I would recommend them ! more

I sent a check for my payment and was told no pymt was due and was going to be sent back. So I sent another check for the correct renewal amount thinking the original check was being sent back and they cashed them both. When questioned about it I was told basicly tough luck. So they in essence just took my money. more

Much like Marvell Tower, Talro is another low-cost insurer in Chicago. They have much cheaper rates than the national insurance companies, but this is largely because the insurers they represent are somewhat unreliable and cannot be really trusted in case you have a serious accident. Case in point: I had to make a claim. After making the initial report, I could never ever talk to the claims adjuster ever again. Every single time I called, I got put on indefinite hold. They eventually did pay off the claim, but they dropped my policy immediately afterwards. Basically, you get what you pay for. more
