This place has all the ambiance of the Chicago Stock Yards. The atmosphere is about like a college dorm cafeteria.\r
\r
This place is really no longer as it used to be when the venue was smaller. \r
\r
Since Sushi House has moved, it's gone way down hill. I had made reservations and still had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, waited another 15 minutes for a glass of warm water.\r
\r
As the years have passed, the quality of the food and service have declined dramatically. Service is really bad and is extremely slow.\r
\r
There is no quality control. Hard, cheap rice, over-ripened avocados and butchered, over-handled sashimi, and not particularly cheap, either. \r
\r
We ordered a boat of sashimi and the squid wasn't even cut right, they were all still attached to one another, the uni looked gross, as if it was melting away.\r
\r
The Scallop Fry was a bit bland, even after liberally applying the sweet sauce and the Donburi was way to spicy. \r
\r
The Marine Boy Roll was confusing and the fish wasn't fresh at all. I guess that's why it was masked with all these mysterious sauces.\r
\r
Too much rice on the rolls. They're using the rice to make there rolls look big.\r
\r
The portion of the rolls are a little smaller now than other places.\r
\r
The Safeway sushi is better than this place. \r
\r
If long waits to be seated, poor service, rude employees, no ambiance and over priced food are your cup of tea, than The Sushi House is the place for you.\r
\r
Stay away \r
