I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food - great taste combined with a beautiful looks of the dishes. I definitely recommended it as a ""first-date"" restaurant or general hang out with friends. more

This restaurant WILL give you the blues 8/27/2002

Although the waitstaff was not rude, they were basically non-existant. Our drinks never got refilled and the service was painfully slow. I didn't mind being cramped and the sushi, when it finally arrived, was not the worst I've tasted -- but the sushi chefs are inexperienced. All my rolls fell apart before I could get them to my mouth. A disappointing experience -- I will not go back. But where ARE the good sushi restaurants around here???? more

The sushi was alright but the restaurant is cramped and the waitstaff is horrible. Do yourself a favor and don't pay someone to be rude to you, go to a better sushi restaurant. more

BAD sushi i ever had ! 8/23/2002

As a title, very bad sushi, also the service so terrible! Those waitresses didn't refill drinks. You will see them three times only. First time they get the drink to you. Second time bring the food out. Third time bring the check...... so don't there to eat! Surely i won't go there anymore! more

Inexcusably Rude 8/7/2002

Sushi Blues seems to pride itself on horrible service. During my second and last visit there we waited a half hour for a table only to watch two couples who arrived after us be seated before us. Once we got a table we were completely ignored for an additional half hour, without drinks, without any kind of acknowledgement of our existance. We left the establishment without any protest or appologies from the staff - either our money was not good enough for them to worry about or there were other more trendy or popular people who's money apparently bears more worth who gained a higher priority. While the ambience of Sushi Blues is indeed interesting and the music above par, nothing can make up for a dining experience ruined by uppity servers. Pros: Music Cons: Service, Attitude more

Catch of the Day 7/18/2002

I think that Sushi Blues is what Raleigh has been waiting for. Most places around downtown close too early and does not cater to late-nighters. In addition to catering to late-nighters, the food is good. I have been there many times and the food has always been consistent. There has been some times where the service was not good, but most of the time it is OK. I still go and recommend it to others. more

Whoever is giving Sushi Blues a bad rating is crazy! I eat there all the time and have never had bad sushi or service. Yes, if you go, plan to make it an evening because it may take a while.
