Honest-to-goodness pub 3/14/2006

I don't even live in Capitol Hill, yet I visit at least once a month just to have a beer at the very comfy Summit Public House. I don't know exactly what makes this neighbor bar so perfect. Maybe it's the Hooegarden on tap. Maybe it's the wooden tables. Maybe it's that you can order a pizza next door and bring it over with you. Maybe it's the ever-so-friendly bartenders. Whatever it is, I have such a laid back, great time every time. Parking is hairy, as this is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but hey, great excise to take a cab and have an extra beer! more

Pub for Cyclists 7/17/2005

Check out the Summit House pub in Capitol Hill. They're showing all the stages of the Tour de France. The pub is a little on the small and mellow side which is good for hanging out with a few friends. The downside is depending on when you go or which stage is on you may have trouble getting a seat. The Summit House is pretty good about showing a lot of cycling events. From the Spring Classics, to the Grand Tours, and the World Championships. There's a good chance that if a major cycling race is going on then the Summit House will be showing it. more
