DON'T SHOP HERE! 3/8/2009

Never go to this place. Aside from overpriced clothes they have horrible customer service. They will not accept returns, exchanges only, yet they do not inform customers anywhere in the store of the policy. Upon attempting to return a recent purchase I was informed of the return policy and their explanation was we should have known they don't accept returns as the return policy is printed on the receipt. Call me crazy, but what good is it to tell your customers you don't accept returns AFTER they made the purchase. \r \r I will never go back to this place and neither should you unless you want to spend to much money on clothes that kids will only wear once.\r \r more

I highly recommend this place. I have two girls and a boy and we are new to Chicago and have been shopping around to all the different places and have had the best luck at Stinky Pants. As far as the prices go, it is a little more high end, but very worth it and what do you expect when you go shopping in Lincoln Park! And not everything is high end, its a great place for small gifts too. Whoever had a bad experience with the staff must have a bad attitude themselves because the girls were very friendly and helped me find everything I needed. The one girl kept my little guy occupied while the other helped me shop which I haven't experienced anywhere else! Pros: Service, fun environment, unique things Cons: getting the kids out of the store more

Lack of creativity & costumer service. 5/9/2008

After reading about the store I wanted to check it out .dropping my son at Old town school of music, I when to check this new store to see what knew things brings to moms like me that shop them all. The store is pleasent, the help not so helpfull. Just full of attitude. ( No hello, may I help you;I wanted to shop, to spent some money).I didn't see any new lines. I could not understand what are they going for.Not a style that you can call their own. Reading the other reviews I can see maybe they try to copy madison and friends by their ""kids lounge "" from madison's denim lounge. the rock t-shits so over done by other stores like MADISON, LMNOP, PSYCHO BABY, SHORTY""S to name a few. The color they picked for their store is Orange that's so CAMELOT. you see orange you think Camelot. You see Red you think Madison and friends and Red Balloon. You see Green at least I think Psycho Baby. Every store has its own style for something fabulous and Chic I go to Camelot, for something trendy and Hip I go to madison, for somethig Funky and out there I go to Psycho Baby, for comfi cute baby I go to Red balloon and When I feel Dutch I go LMNOP. I think that instead of sending gifts to people in california . they should focus in their costumer service in chicago that needs a lot of work. Focus in something and try to get original don't be a copy cat. I dont know where are this other people shopping that think this store is so unique. There is nothing original and new about it . Check the competition and you see what I'm talking about. Attitude won't take you anywhere. Focus Darling,Focus. more

easy to shop 3/20/2008

You walk in the boys clothes are to your left the girls are to your right. The store is set up by designer so it's really easy to shop. I have two boys and a girl and this place has by far the best clothing selection for boys in the city. The girls selection is really great and unique. My daughter loves the tutus! This place is wonderful for kids..mine never want to leave! Pros: great clothing selection for boys and girls Cons: it's difficult to get your kids to leave more

worst customer service EVER!!!! 2/9/2008

I wouldn't recommend this store to my worst enemy. I don't care if the clothes are cute, customer service is 100 times more important and these people are just RUDE. If their vendors knew they treated their customers so poorly, they would be embarrassed to have their merchadise in their store. The young girl claiming to be the manager does not stand by the store policies and does not have any interpersonal skills. Owners were MIA when I asked to talk to them. Obviously, I did not have a good experience there! Total waste of money. Don't waste your time. The Red Balloon, Psychobaby and LMNOP all have the same goods but with WAY nicer employees, better prices and better policies. more

Adorable children's clothing 1/18/2008

No doubt this store has some of the cutest stuff for kids. The clothes are a little pricey, but they are also very well made...which makes it worth it to me. They also just opened their web store and I think the pricing there is cheaper. Pros: Clothes you won't find at other kid's clothing stores Cons: A little pricey more

Unbelievably rude 9/19/2007

I agree with the other customers, cute clothing but absolutely obnoxious employees! I have never been treated so poorly at a retail store. more

Not kid friendly or parent friendly either 9/8/2007

This place does have cute clothes, but not friendly or very inviting. You walk into a very small space that has a carousel in the front and a small play area in the back, but basically asks you to keep your kids out. They do not allow strollers inside either. They really need to figure out what message they are trying to send.... Pros: cute clothing Cons: not friendly, too crowded, boxes always stacked all over more

A must See! 2/9/2007

A great place to get really cool kids clothes . I found the greatest Vintage rock T's for babies. A GREAT place to find a unique gift! Pros: YOU WILL NOT FIND CLOTHES LIKE THIS ANYWHERE ELSE IN TOWN. Cons: HARD TO FIND PARKING more

I Loved this place............... 1/3/2007

This place reminds me of Kitson for Kids or Fred Segal in L.A. it has all the hot new designer clothes for kids. The selection for boys is amazing and the girl stuff is very unique. They have a T-shirt section with the coolest ""rocker t's"" and the Kids Lounge in the back of the store was great..I had to drag my kids out of there because they did not want to leave! Great place to get baby gifts! Pros: you'll find things that you won't see anywhere else Cons: hard to find parking more

not child friendly 12/13/2006

i was very disappointed with this place. i first browsed through and then went back during the week with my son with the intention of buying gifts for friends. the ""play area"", which i thought was supposed to distract the kids so that parents could shop, was overtaken with huge boxes that i moved myself so that my son could play. then after i used their bathroom where i said out loud that i was changing my son's diaper...an associate came out after using it herself and asked if that was my diaper in the already brimming with trash trashbin. i said yes..and she goes on to ask why i put the diaper in there when there was no liner and how i expected her to touch the diaper with her hands. she goes on to say that it was a personal bathroom, not a public one and implied that i shouldn't have used it in the first place, even though i had asked permission to use it. i went in and took the diaper out and tossed it in an outside bin. needless to say, i did not buy anytihng there nor do i intend to in the future. more
