Stanley Steemer

NOT HAPPY AT ALL with the job they did on my laminate. It looks worse than before they started. There is a film on the floor and it is streaked. They were prompt to send someone else out to try and correct it and they were not able to do it. An appointment with the general manager was scheduled but he canceled because of sickness. There is another appointment scheduled for next week. We want our $441 refunded because the floor looks worse than before. It remains to be seen whether they will refund our money. In the meantime, we will have wasted 4 days dealing with this issue. We have had them in the past for carpet cleaning and that job was fine more

DO NOT HIRE STANELY STEEMER. I hired them to clean the ducts in my house. The technician first drilled holes in my ductwork in my basement and then cleaned the ducts. A lot of the dirt from the ducts came out through the holes, as he didn't plug the holes down the line as he cleaned. There was glass, nails, metal shards and dust everywhere. The basement required a complete cleaning when they were done. Then when removing the large vacuum hose from the furnace debris in the hose dumped out all over my house as they drug it out to there truck. Then I had metal shards and dust all over my house in addition to my basement. The technicians walked through the debris numerous times tracking it everywhere and scratching my hard wood floors in the process. I have had my ducts cleaned before by another company, and my house was not disrupted at all. I will never hire Stanely Steemer again and wish I had never hired them! Pros: null Cons: null more

Rating is actually NEGATIVE!!! Stanley Steemer promised to make my tile and grout look "perfect", which it was already near perfect anyway. They did not ask me to sign a waiver, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into. They destroyed my grout, admitted that they ruined the grout, and asked me to sign a waiver before they would fix the grout. I refused, because the waiver basically said that they could possibly ruin the grout. If I had seen the waiver before they did the "work", I would have never let them touch my tile or grout. Now Mr. Dean, the owner and man on the commercial that sounds like he is so nice...he yelled at me saying that my tile was installed improperly and my grout was defective. Funny, he never stepped foot in my house or ever saw my floor. No one from his company said anything about installation or grout being defective. He just made that up. Now I am going to arbitration with him to settle this because he is being a total jackass. I just wish I could get my hands on a waiver, so I could show it to the arbitrator. Does anyone know how I could get this in a hurry? Thanks. more

I had been having trouble with air coming through my vents. I called Stanley Steemer, and they sent out two very nice young gentelmen. They put the camera down the vents and showed us what was down there, and let me tell you it was not pretty... They told us every step of the way what they where doing. They where just a joy to have in our home, and the job they did was excellent. I can't wait for them to come out and clean all our furniture. more

I called Stanley Steemer at the last minute (we were having company) to clean the high traffic areas throughout the house. Some of the areas were pretty bad (we had a dog at the time.) They sent two men, very clean cut and right on time. They brought in their equipment and got right to work. They even got out the "dog spots". They were very careful and did a great job. I will absolutely use them again. more

I called Stanley Steemer just to clean the heavy traffic areas in a couple of rooms. The two men were on time for the appointment and very polite. They did such a good job on the carpet that I asked them if they could do an off-white upholstered chair I have while they were there.....no problem! Everything looks clean and fresh. I will for sure use them again. more

I needed my living room furniture cleaned for Thanksgiving. What a mistake calling Stanley Steemer. The crew showed up as promised, Only good thing I have to say. The guy asked if I had any stains and I told him yes. I only got to show him one before he shoved his electronic contract inf front of me and told me to sign and asked me how I was going to pay. Brought in one tarp, didn't even spread it all the way out. Sat my sofa on it and started cleaning, He was spraying water and chemicals everywhere. It was on my walls, plants other furniture and my hardwood floors. After he finished one end of the sofa I checked it and it was still dirty. I said wait a minute I am going to treat that and have you go over it again. He made me sign a waiver to treat my furniture because what he was doing wasn't getting the job done. I told him since I signed the damn waiver I wanted it clean so I treated another area. More water and chemicals everywhere. I got a towel and started wiping up some of the mess. I told him he was making a mess of my floors and to be careful. He then told me that I had cursed him three times and he didn't appreciate it. I apologized but he wasn't letting it go. I said spread out the tarp and quit spraying that stuff all over my floors. He again told me I had cursed him three times, the guy must have been on crack. I had seen and had enough of his crap. I said don't get my god d***d floors wet anymore. He said that was it and stormed out to call his manager. A short time later my phone rang. It was the manager, who I tried to explain what blatant disregard this guy had for my home. But that got no where. So what equipment they hadn't already taken out I threw out my front door. The younger man of the crew was very nice,dried up the puddles, and even apologized. So I won't ever be using this company again, EVER! more

Awful, Absolutely Awful!!! I recently got a puppy who had an accident in our den (#2, but only 20 lb puppy so not that bad). We gated the den and immediately called carpet companies to see who could come the soonest which was Stanley Steemer. BIG mistake. They had to come back not 1x, not 2xs, but 3 times and there was still a brown spot and smell. I have used many carpet companies who have gotten out much worse stains the dog poo! I called another company and they got it out nooo problem - no stain, no smell! Pros: i was able to schedule them quickly - the only reason i gave them a try Cons: did not do the job - still stain, still smell! more
