St Augustine Beach Front Resort

To all the staff at St. Augustine, i would like to thank you all for making my birthday week so very special. Thank you for going the extra mile in service I have had the best birthday of my life and Tony too. Special thanks to Steve for the music at the pool special thanks to Anna for the Upgrade :).... It was fabulous! This place has everything a person could want, the sounds and beautiful and what can u say about the Beach, it is one of God's many blessings!!! Again know that this was the perfect place for me to spend my birthday. P.S. The housekeepers are phenomenal Tina is a delight this a very acomodating place. I Love Love Love it! P.S.S Steve and Steve marvelous people and very friendly. Jody at the pool, very willing to help you!! more

We went on a girls night out just to relax and enjoy the weather and the beach at St. Ausgustine. When we found the Beachside Resort the manager was so friendly and being happy for us she blessed up with a wonderful extra 2 days with a big discount! The room was beautifully newly remodeled, clean, comfy and right on the beach. Everything we could have hoped for we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Will definately come back!! more

On behlaf of the Chanel Choir and myself I wanted to take l moment to thank you for all your effort in helping make our ""retreat"" a success. Everyone has a great time! The set up was wonderful, the service couldn't have been better, the food was perfect. You and your staff. Couldn't have been more accomodating. Judy, you made it very easy to work things out. Thanks! I now count you as a friend, not just my ""contact person"". We look forward to using you in the future and will put your name out. Can't wait to see the completed project. The rain however was unique and felt great. more

While this is an older hotel undergoing renovation, I must say that the staff made it a great stay. Friendly, Helpful and very Pleasant!!! That alone made me overlook the average room still in process of renovation. It will be beautiful when complete. There are some great extras being put into the rooms. more

Very nice indoor pool & jacuzzi, some work being done to the faclity but overall very nice, great staff, they have some birds and a giant parakeet in the lobby that was a HUGE hit with the kids. more

I recently took my parents for a getaway and stayed at the hotel. The rates were great. I knew they were still working on building, I found the staff to be nice and helpful.The pool was clean and enclosed ,Lots of kids having fun. We got in late and hot tub was off but staff had it turned on for us. You dont have to cross the busy road to get to the beach.Our maid service was good.This is great for people who like the pier just right out the door. I would go back. more

All the reviews mention the old, grungy rooms, but fail to mention the AWESOME pool with waterslide and children's play area, and tiki bar, all walking distance to the beach, pier, and awesome little eatery across the street. The staff was acommodating, the room was adequate, albeit old and worn. Chek-in was not until 3 p.m., but we arrived at 10:30 a.m. with beach gear in tow and were allowed to spend the entire day at the pool unitl our room was ready. The kids (and I!) loved the waterslide. DH loved the tiki bar. We drove in locally and only planned to spend one night, so we spent the dy at the pool, beach and out to dinner, slept in teh room for a few hours, showered in the mornng and checked out. Spent teh next day in downtown St. Aug and drove home.We had a great time at the pool. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub for cooler days (I assume) that was pretty new. If you are not a high maintenance person, you will love it. more

I went there with my family, and since we were on a budget we choose this resort. It is a great place to stay at a low cost. You are right on the beach, plus they have TWO pools and a water slide. The room was nice and we were only 10 minutes from the Historic Downtown Area. We had alot of fun and cant wait to go back! We stayed in room 116 right in front of the ocean. more

My husband and I found this gem back in June and now we're back. The location can't be beat. Our room was clean and accomodating with a marvelous view of the beach. We'd drink our morning coffee on the balcony while watching the local surfers play in the waves. The housekeeping staff was friendly and efficient with tidying up our room each day and the front desk staff were especially helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Close enough to historic St. Augustine to enjoy the sites, but quiet and relaxing if you want to chill by the ocean. We'll definitely be back in December. I highly recommend this hotel! more

I booked a room for 4 nights at this resort for myself (a single mother) and my 3 young children, ages 10, 8, and 1. I have to say that after reading the reviews, I was very skeptical of staying here with my children but thought I would chance it...so glad I did!! The staff were so delightful, they allowed us to check in about 3 hours early, got out in the night to get us supplies, and again in the night to unlock our room after we locked the key inside. The pool was fantastic, the kids had a blast sliding on the water slide and also enjoyed the indoor pool after hours as long as we kept the noise down. I could sit at the pool and look straight out to the beach, had the convenience of washing our clothes in the laundry facility before heading home, and could have used the exercise equipment if I had chosen to do so. In closing, I would like to say that this hotel is great for the price, has excellent access to the beach, and I felt completely safe and at home. When I return to Saint Augustine, I will stay here again!! more

The Hotel grounds are spacious. You can walk around and not be crowded. Keep walking and your on the Beach! Again, we were on the BEACH!!! We did not have to cross a busy street with kids. The kids LOVED the pools. The Hotel had two swimming pools, and one Hot Tub. One pool is indoors, which was fantastic when we had enough sun! The kids loved the Waterslide. It is a long waterslide. It has a nice Tiki bar by the pool! That won me over... The rooms were clean. The people that woked there were very helpful & friendly.They are adding on a new area to the hotel. It is going to be even better. It is almost complete! No construction noise or eye sores..We will be going back to this hotel. Recommended. THE AREA:The Beach is beautiful and clean. It has waves that you can surf on. Close to a beautiful Light House that you can tour.Plenty of Restautants are close by. A short drive takes you into the city of St Augustine. It has a Fort you can tour and many other attractions & museums. . The city is very Historical and beautiful, and clean! It is the oldest city in the USA.Some of the shops are hundreds of years old. You can tour the winery. Flagger college has incredibe architecture. more

After being terrified by all the NEGATIVE remarks on this website, we were surprised to find it was a wonderful room, with a wonderful view and the boys (both four) loved the slide and didn't want to leave. We had a new room from the looks of the wonderful tiled shower and sink, so we really had no complaints. The lovely ""Hungarian housekeeper"" was as sweet as she could be and was always there to help with anything we needed. more

We looked at other reviews on Tripadvisor before our trip here, and checked out a few motels before deciding. This motel couldn't have a better location, near the historic town of Saint Augustine but JUST next to the beach over the bridge. We can see the waves from our room, and walk on the beach in the morning. It's unpretentious, and yes the towels aren't pure white, but they're clean, as is our room. We have a full kitchenette with sofabed and all utensils, and enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools and indoor spa. We have use of exercise machines and can grab coffee in the lobby anytime. On weekends they have a breakfast buffet. There's wifi in the lobby and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's pretty dog-friendly, so our dog gets to play with others nearby and go with us on walks. There's a great park next door and a bicycle trail across the street. I recommend giving this place a chance. more

St. Augustine Beachfront Resort was selected for our recent gathering of friends because of the location, the amenities offered, the reasonable cost, and the helpful friendliness of the staff. We were not disappointed in a one of these areas. Judy Smith, Sales Mgr. and the staff promptly attended our every need. The location on the beautiful beach and adjacent to Anastasia State Park added yet another dimension of pleasure to our visit there. It is a most desirable destination for family, friends, business, or social occasions! more

We were given a room in the new section which was very nice and clean. Service at the front desk was extremely friendly and very helpful. Both my husband and myself would recommend this resort hotel to all our friends. We will most definitely come back. more
