St Augustine Beach Front Resort

Great People and Place to work with for a group event, could not have asked for more. The staff here was a pleasure to work with, in planning and executing a 3 day event. From the front desk to the kitchen, we were extremely pleased with the results. Although the rooms are not the most up dated, everyone in our group of well over 100 people was most satisfied. the rooms were clean & the beds were comfortable. The grounds, lounge, banquet rooms etc are all condussive to a great time for a couple or large group. Being literally right on the beach was excellent! There are a few things that showed a little bit of wear, but this is not priced like some of the overprices chains. The few minor concerns we had were addressed immediately. The attitude and friendlyness of the staff spoke volumes. Did not see any sign of any critters of any kind. This place is a real place for real people. If you are a prissy stiff, you might want to go down the road and spend twice as much..... lol more

We enjoyed our 2 day stay on the 1st floor. My wife's bad knee and our 6 childrens enjoyment of your surf. We even stayed in a time share in Orlando, but all voted your place was best, so we hope to come back in year or so. Keep up the good work. As we check in, the space shuttle in the sky was awesome. We loved it more

I would like to thank you all for making my birthday week so very special. Thank you for going the extra mile in service. I have had the best birthday of my life and Tony too. Special thanks to Steve for the music @ the pool and special thanks to Ana for the upgrade ... it was fabulous. This place has everything a person could want, the grounds are beautiful and what can you say about the beach, it is one of Gods many blessings!! Again, know that this was the perfect place for me to spend my birthday. The housekeepers are phenomenal, Tina is a delight, this is a very accomodating place, I love it! Steve and Steve marvelous people, very friendly, and Jodi at the pool very willing to help everyone. more

We went on a girls night out just to relax and enjoy the weather and the beach at St. Ausgustine. When we found the Beachside Resort the manager was so friendly and being happy for us she blessed up with a wonderful extra 2 days with a big discount! The room was beautifully newly remodeled, clean, comfy and right on the beach. Everything we could have hoped for we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Will definitely come back!! more

The Hotel grounds are spacious. You can walk around and not be crowded. Keep walking and your on the Beach! Again, we were on the BEACH!!! We did not have to cross a busy street with kids. The kids LOVED the pools. The Hotel had two swimming pools, and one Hot Tub. One pool is indoors, which was fantastic when we had enough sun! The kids loved the Waterslide. It is a long waterslide. It has a nice Tiki bar by the pool! That won me over... The rooms were clean. The people that woked there were very helpful & friendly. They are adding on a new area to the hotel. It is going to be even better. It is almost complete! No construction noise or eye sores.. We will be going back to this hotel. Recommended. THE AREA:The Beach is beautiful and clean. It has waves that you can surf on. Close to a beautiful Light House that you can tour. Plenty of Restautants are close by. A short drive takes you into the city of St Augustine. It has a Fort you can tour and many other attractions & museums. . The city is very Historical and beautiful, and clean! It is the oldest city in the USA. Some of the shops are hundreds of years old. You can tour the winery. Flagger college has incredibe architecture. more

Okay the bathroom ceiling had two colors of paint, the furniture looked water damaged on the bottom..... yet the room and sheets where Clean! We were in a pet friendly room, which I'm sure meant not their best :-) The staff were very friendly and helpful, and like I said, location, location location!!! Pools were clean, Hot tub was nice. Lawn furniture available on the deck. We have and will stay again. Price is reasonable more

Good: We did not enjoy any aspects of this location.. Bad: Check in time is 3:00... We arrived at 3 to check in to find a line to the door. Initially had a reservation for a "Deluxe" Room with private balcony. Took us waiting in line (with 2 small children) for almost 45min to an hour, only to find that our "reserved room" was unavailable... outrageous if I must say so. So we were forced to stay in the downstairs "deluxe" room, which included a rusted microwave and rusted fridge combo, a very noisy air conditioner that my kids were scared of.... Other: This stay was horrendous, I would highly recommend spending the extra dollar for a nicer location.. more

we stayed with a large group of people, and they were very nice helped with every problem we had, and I must say the food they served for dinner was top notch, it is older but for the price you cant go wrong, the rooms were clean and the bar and tiki bar was flowin I would go back. I'd recommend this hotel to a friend. more

While this is an older hotel undergoing renovation, I must say that the staff made it a great stay. Friendly, Helpful and very Pleasant!!! That alone made me overlook the average room still in process of renovation. It will be beautiful when complete. There are some great extras being put into the rooms. more

Very nice indoor pool & jacuzzi, some work being done to the facility but overall very nice, great staff, they have some birds and a giant parakeet in the lobby that was a HUGE hit with the kids. more

After being terrified by all the NEGATIVE remarks on this website, we were surprised to find it was a wonderful room, with a wonderful view and the boys (both four) loved the slide and didn't want to leave. We had a new room from the looks of the wonderful tiled shower and sink, so we really had no complaints. The lovely "Hungarian housekeeper" was as sweet as she could be and was always there to help with anything we needed. more

I recently took my parents for a getaway and stayed at the hotel. The rates were great. I knew they were still working on building, I found the staff to be nice and helpful.The pool was clean and enclosed ,Lots of kids having fun. We got in late and hot tub was off but staff had it turned on for us. You dont have to cross the busy road to get to the beach.Our maid service was good.This is great for people who like the pier just right out the door. I would go back. more

The staff was really friendly, the room was clean. Great few,loved the pools and the tike bar and great location. The price was really reasonable, I can't wait to go back! more

We looked at other reviews before our trip here, and checked out a few motels before deciding. This motel couldn't have a better location, near the historic town of Saint Augustine but JUST next to the beach over the bridge. We can see the waves from our room, and walk on the beach in the morning. It's unpretentious, and yes the towels aren't pure white, but they're clean, as is our room. We have a full kitchenette with sofabed and all utensils, and enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools and indoor spa. We have use of exercise machines and can grab coffee in the lobby anytime. On weekends they have a breakfast buffet. There's wifi in the lobby and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's pretty dog-friendly, so our dog gets to play with others nearby and go with us on walks. There's a great park next door and a bicycle trail across the street. I recommend giving this place a chance. more
