Beware, do not book your wedding at the Smith Tower's Chinese Room. I had a lovely wedding planned and it was ruined by the lack of service at the Smith Tower. All deliveries to the Chinese Room are required to use the pot-holed wreck of an ancient alley and then use a short very steep board ramp to access the lobby and elevators...which are the same elevators that everyone uses, they do not have any freight elevators. My catered food was a mess due to falling off the steep ramp that the carts could not get up. Smith Tower has no serviceable carts to help with the ramp. My flowers arrived in a similar state due to the van falling into all the potholes(impossible to avoid) in the alley. My sound man swears he will never do another event at the Smith Tower....it took him hours to move in the equipment up the old steep ramp....most of it he had to hand carry. When we complained to a big burley security guard, we were told that that was how deliveries had to be made, and if we didn't like it we should go somewhere else. Beware,,,,you may not want to book a wedding or an event here!
