I like the location but everything else is below par. The sandwiches are like the ""Honey Hole"" (dry, uneventful, over priced) and the beer is not so good.............\r \r Th...

Great grub! 5/12/2006

The Six Arms is a great pub on lower Queen Anne; it's a nice spot to go if you're headed to a show at the Opera House or the Key Arena. They have a nice menu of pub grub - really good burgers too - and this is a McMenamins (Portland based small chain of pubs) so you can can count on an extensive ale list. Great service and cheap to boot! more

Best burger for under $6.00 4/4/2006

The Six Arms on the hill, McMenamins in lower Queen Anne and Dad Watson's in Fremont are all run by the same folks and are solid neighborhood pubs. Great fries, nice atmosphere, and a burger with tillamook cheddar that I think is something like$5.95 - pretty good when you consider the $8 or $9 bucks some pubs are charging these days. more

Six Arms - Good Pub with Good Grub 4/1/2006

The Six Arms is just up the street from my old office. We started using it as our "official" watering hole a few months back. Smart choice - so much better than "downtown" places like Fox Sports Grill or Palomino. Six Arms is part of the McMenamins group so the beers are good microbrews, though they have a full selection of name brands if you prefer. The food is good. Standard pub fare mixed with a few unique twists. Nothing is too expensive, so you can stop by and have a beer and a snack after work for about $10. Best of all the atmosphere is really laid back. Servers are attentive but don't hover. They know their beer and are happy to make recommendations based on your tastes. There's always music playing but it's not too loud, meaning you can have a conversation without shouting. And it's somewhat kid-friendly - people under 21 can go in as long as they are accompanied by an adult (note that I haven't done this, but it's good to know that it's an option). If you want a good beer and some good pub grub, stop by. It's worth it. more

Six Arms is a winner. 9/28/2005

My buddy and I discovered Six Arms pub about a year ago and it has become a favorite with us. The pub is located within walking distance of downtown and south Capitol Hill. The dark interior of the pub features a balcony dining area with a sweeping view of the lower level. Chandeliers that hang from the ceiling are whimsically constructed from plumbing pipe, and a large statue of a six-armed goddess (something akin to Vishnu) hangs on the back wall. The bar serves typical pub fare (burgers, sandwiches) which is of good quality, but it won't knock your socks off. It offers a good selection of beers, mostly microbrews from McMenamins. Decent food, great beer, reasonable prices, and fantastic ambiance make Six Arms a great pub. more

Classic pub food and great beers 8/30/2005

What's to complain about? Central location, good service, sufficient menu, excellent beer, classic pub ambiance. Love it. more

Great for all hours 8/21/2005

This place offers great atmosphere, food and drinks. Whether you're in there alone with company, you'll be impressed by the great energy in the place because the staff is incredibly friendly. They carry all sorts of beers, national and imported, and make delicious food - from simple cheeseburgers to exotic hummus plates. The location is great, average prices for Seattle pubs. They are now smoke-free until 9pm. more

fish and chips and more 8/15/2005

The Six Arms is a McMenamins pub so they have all of the great beers - Ruby Ale, Terminator Stout, etc. They also have yummy fish and chips. Or fish and tater tots if you prefer. There are lots of other choices on the menu as well. more
