Usually, with kids in tow, I always get great service at the Sip & Ship. The owners have kids, so they totally get the value of time and make it easy to come in with something to ...

I was absolutely thrilled to see Ballard Sip & Ship was open at 6:30 pm one Saturday after finding out the neighboring FedEx Kinkos was closed. I needed to print an assignment for...

Hippest Shipping, Shopping & Sipping in Seattle 4/28/2010

There is nothing they can't handle with professionalism and a slew of recycled/reused packing materials! They are the greenest shipping company in Seattle saving over eight football stadiums full of those pesky packing peanuts from land fills. They love their customers and it shows. more

Can Do Attitude 9/22/2007

I love to go places where people take care of me and the Sip and Ship is definitely one of those. From the minute you walk in the door with a stack of things that need to go to multiple locations, with no boxes, no tape- they take it on like it is no worry. Love that. From the "shipping' counter- I'm usually on to the "sipping" counter where I get equally great service and occasionally a piece of Squash bread from Macrina. This is also the place I hit when I am looking for a fun gift for girlfriend or new baby on the block...did I mention their cards...fantastic letterpress and local designers. This is a keeper! more

Lucky for Locals 9/21/2007

Ballard is fortunate to have such a cool place. Not only can they take care of your shipping/postal needs, but they will serve you up a mean cup of coffee to boot. Seldom to you encounter a business that generates a desire to be part of like the Ballard Sip and Ship does. Shop and Spend local more

Sip and Ship - great local business! 9/20/2007

Not only is the Sip and Ship a great place to take care of all your shipping needs (huge for me as a work from home guy), but they also have cool stuff and great coffee. This is the type of business every neighborhood needs and is a great example of why we should have more small, locally owned and operated retail businesses and fewer chains. Places like The Sip and Ship is what makes Seattle a great place to live. more

The Sip and Ship Sets the Bar REALLY HIGH!! 9/19/2007

There is absolutely no one-stop shop like the Sip and Ship. Not only is everyone super friendly but if you're having a postal crisis, the folks are able to calm you down with some great coffee/pastries and they take care of the rest. Unlike places like Fed Ex Kinko's, you don't have to stand around the counter while the employees bumble around with bubble wrap and tape measures (while you realize that doing it yourself might have taken less time). You can just bring your package in, tell them where it's going, and peruse the gift shop or set off on your other errands. I wish we had one here in Portland, OR!! These folks are super professionals! more

A fabulous place for everything!!! 9/18/2007

I have been going to Sip & Ship for the last four years to ship my packages and they are fabulous!! The best customer service in town. They will take care of you I guarantee it. If for some strange reason you have a bad experience, get a hold of the owner (cares a lot about her customers) and she will make it right. They can ship anything for you, domestic or international, and will pack it right to make sure it gets there safely. I am not a coffee drinker, but they have great snacks and soft serve ice cream in the summer. Also, when ever I need a card or gift for someone, I can go there, find something nice, have it beautifully wrapped and shipped in less then ten minutes. I am a big fan of this place. They are a great one stop shop and focused on taking care of their customers - something I find less and less in business these days. Sip & Ship is the Nordstrom's of gifts, coffee and shipping. I highly recommend. Link - Ballard resident and business owner more

Love love love them 9/18/2007

This place is fabulous. The staff is so friendly and helpful on a day-to-day basis, and when you're really in a pinch, they'll totally go out of their way for you. Just last week, I overheard them figuring out how to help a customer who had purchased 40 pounds of fresh fish (!!) without knowing how to send it back to his home state. And last winter, I ran in there in a total panic -- late for a a meeting but needing to get four packages shipped off -- and the owner (who is quite easy on the eyes, BTW) said, "Just write the addresses on sticky notes, put them on their respective packages, and we'll handle the rest." Judging by the number of people in there, I thought I'd be waiting at least 15 minutes ... instead, I was in and out in less than 5. Now that's service! And I haven't even gotten into their great coffee, TO DIE FOR vegan trail cookies and supercute cards -- not to mention all those awesome Ballard tee shirts. A definite neighborhood institution -- you can't even compare them to a post office or a regular shipping center! more

Expensive stuff, but cool 12/31/2006

This is the store where you go to get the "it" items written up by magazines. They have tons of unique gifts from soaps, stationary, little buttons...to my favorite: the initial key chain. The stuff isn't cheap, but if you are buying a gift, they will wrap it up all pretty for you. The store itself is small, so when it's busy its hard to browse. I have no experience with the sipping or shipping part, just shopping. The staff here is super nice and is willing to help. They have 4 (or so) parking spots in back, as well as two 15 minute parking spots. more

Trendy, kid-friendly coffee shop 7/2/2006

Sip and ship has great seating upstairs in this loft style coffee shop. They have a unique niche in Seattle's saturated coffee market: offer a lounge with space for kids to play! In the main floor, they sell stationery and trendy tchotchkes, as well as the shipping station. Foodwise, they offer a limited variety of paninis, muffins, cookies. Enough for a light lunch/snack. Upstairs, away from the main throroughfare, is a quiet lounge with toys and books for the kids. But be forewarned, it gets crowded when a group of parents meet for a playdate. more

Ballard Mail and Dispatch 5/4/2006

For a long time I frequented the Sip and Ship! They have cool gifts and a nice atmosphere! However, I recently had terrible service in their shipping dept. On one of the occasions, my credibility was tarnished by owner. I am very disappointed and will never go back! more

It's Hip to Sip and Ship 5/1/2006

No really, it is. When this business first came in, I was skeptical. C'mon, who needs a latte with their UPS services? But apparently lots of folks do. I went there and I didn't even ship a thing, so I guess it's not just for those who have gone postal. They have cute little gift things and trendy Ballard sweatshirts and the folks are super nice as well. They offer USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL, plus Seko Worldwide Freight services. They have wi-fi. Their coffee is fair trade. Do you need any more reasons? more

Sip and Ship - just like it says 8/17/2005

The concept of this store is that you can buy a card and gift, get a cup of coffee and a scone, write the card, and then post the whole thing off to anywhere in the world without leaving the store. This is a very agreeable way to spend an hour on a Saturday morning in Ballard. more
