Learn a Foreign Language in Adult Classes 6/21/2010

I need to learn Vietnamese for retirement and have been disappointed several times elsewhere. but at Seattle Languages I've been taking classes on weekends and now I am approaching fluency. Last time I went to Vi?t Nam I was able to talk to people and read everything. It's really great. They're located in University Village and parking is easy, there are classes in European and Asian languages and it's very convenient for someone with a job. I recommend them. Pros: Weekend Classes Available for Working People Cons: none to speak of more

Seattle Languages International 6/21/2010

I really enjoyed taking the intro to German conversation at Seattle Languages. I did not have any experience at all with the German langage, but I was not made to feel intimidated in my first class. We had a class size start at 6 people. This is a great size for partner work and to feel comfortable speaking in a foreign language. The work load was not too extensive and our teacher was understanding of family or work commitments. Ingrid made sure you were caught up on class by giving you your early homework assignments or catching up with vocabulary and grammer via email. Pros: Small classes, language conversation encouragement Cons: Weekday classes finish late more

Wonderful Language School 6/21/2010

I started Japanese in March 2009, and continued to take it for 8 levels (each level is a 20-hr. course) until April. The teacher was great, the other students were interesting, and there was a real camaraderie in the class. Class size ranged from 3-7, so there was plenty of time for individual practice and interaction. In April I started taking German and got up to Level 3. The German teacher was very energetic and kept the class moving at a good pace. Both the Japanese and German teachers are native speakers. I've really enjoyed all the classes I've taken here and will continue to take more. The location near University Village is near where I live and the classes are offered at convenient times. Pros: Great instructors, small classes, convenient location more

Great School 5/23/2010

The last two classes I took were great. I was sitting in a small class with only 5-6 students and had a wonderful instructor. She was amazing! Not only was she a native but she clearly knew how to engage all of us and make us speak a lot. I learned a lot, much more than I expected. I would recommend this school. They are fully accredited and clearly know what they are doing. I will check them out in the summer again as I want to learn Italian. I may take a weekend class as their evening classes end too late for me. Merci! Pros: Instructor, fun class and small class size Cons: Evening classes end after 9 pm more
