Science Fiction Museum 4/23/2006

Seeing Captain Kirk's command chair reminded me of my brother and what a Trekkie he is. It was too cool to see. And, the Alien Queen. Wow. If you know someone who is not a science fiction fan...take them here. They will become a convert! The interactive exhibits and everything in this place are well maintained, presented, and fun to browse through. Price is worth the entertainment. more

Interesting, but really not worth the price 3/23/2006

We went through the Science Fiction Museum and it was OK. As P.M. says, it takes just an hour to through there and it really isn't super worth it. Nice to see some of the trivia, but seems like they should just throw it in as part of the EMP fees. If you are looking for fun and interesting, the Burke Museum at UW is way better. more

Interesting Stuff 3/20/2006

Sci Fi Museum is a great idea. This place has some interesting stuff also. Was good to walk around and browse in. In under an hour, though you can see just about everything. The only downside is that the ticket prices are kind of high for the hour that you spend in this location. The best part is seeing a lot of stuff that you'll remember from your childhood. Worth at least one visit, but probably no more than that. more

Museums 8/19/2005

Located in a unique and curvy new building at the Seattle Center, these twin museums -- sci-fi and rock and roll -- will satisfy fans of either and certainly intrigue even non-fans with its jaw-dropping, bold design. Both offer interactive exhibits and enough sites and activities to consume at least a half day. more

Satisfy the cravings of your inner geek 8/18/2005

I'm not a huge science fiction fan, but really enjoyed the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. I was surprised by how much I learned, and really appreciated the effort to contextualize science fiction and situate it within the broader popular culture. For those not interested in reading text heavy museum panels, there are lots of opportunities to get hands on with interactive displays. And, the robot display is just plain cool! I think everyone, regardless of their science fiction interest, would enjoy a few hours at this museum. more

Fun for Sci-Fi Fans!! 8/17/2005

This is a great museum for those who are fans of science and science fiction. There are lots of displays with memorabilia from science fiction books, movies, television, etc. They have lots of props used in movies that are very interesting to see. They also have lots of monitors with videos discussing certain aspects of science fiction. The Hall of Fame section is also very interesting. more
