Making sushi a comfort food 3/12/2006

Sam's seems to be taking the opposite approach to most Seattle sushi places: low-key, unassuming, fresh, and reasonably priced. It's right next to the Uptown Theatre, but it's one of those places that for some reason is easy to miss. But I encourage you to try it out. It's not as swanky or exclusive as some of the other fine sushi restaurants in town, but there's something about it that will keep you coming back. more

There is retired CEO of a large Japanese company who makes a point of going to Sam's. I just took a sushi-fiend friend here for the first time. He said it was the best in Seattle. more
