Sam's is okay with me 2/26/2011

Good: Almost everything, there are a few shortcomings.. Bad: No real continuity in stocking of some products such as miracle whip and Heinz ketchup large pump container and continued rearranging of item locations.. Improvements: Set up store and leave it so that less time is needed to locate items. Other: Reading the negative comments, I believe some of these are over the top. I have had to return items and had problems at times with a receipt, but have always been treated with respect. Remember, in order to get respect, you need to give respect. I do not believe they would intentionally sell a spoiled product. and as far as he who expects to buy from Sams only in emergencies, buy a membership, that is why it is called Sams CLUB Keep up the great work SAMS, and the statement about Walmart is absurd.. more

Sam's Club 8/12/2006

We had an incident with them, were the cashier charged me to renew the membership twice on the same receipt, I explained to her I did not need two memberships. Of course she could not give me a refund. We went over to the front desk, they told me they had to re-ring the receipt, okay I say, then they end up charging me again, I asked the clerk who in the heck needs 3 Sam's memberships? They argue with me it is right, I walked out, because I knew they were idiots. I end up faxing both receipts, to the main office, and the next day get a call that my credit card was to be credited the full amonut of all three memberships & I would get my membership free. I am probably not going to remew, the prices are low, but the service is next to nothing. I can find prices within a few cents if I shop around. more

Never shop here! 4/12/2006

The worst thing ever. After the hurricane, supplies were low. Sams club was the only store in town that was open and had certain supplies (water, charcoal, etc). However, they were not open to the public in this time of need. They were requiring Sams Club IDs to shop here. Most people didnt have cars, money, food, anything. It was morally wrong for them not to sell items to people at this time of dire emergency. I was shocked that no one did a news story on this, but its probably because people are afraid of walmart. more

Sam's Club's customer service stinks! 4/1/2006

In reference to the Coral Springs, Florida, Sam's Club. On Monday, I went to Sam's club for my weekly groceries. We get in the car and notice a smell. It was bad, but tolerable. It smelled like a dead animal. We figured maybe we had driven past one. The smell kinda hung in the air though. We get home and start putting the groceries away and after getting all the refrigerated items put away we notice the smell is more noticeable and it is now in our house. OK--we start sniffing the groceries. We look at the fruit and the meat. Nope--not it. We start searching the house. After an hour we give up and go to put the canned goods away. We rip open the case of soup and oh my--just we just about threw up. The cans were rusted and one was open and literally foaming black mold! Meanwhile my house now reeks and so does the car. We rush it back to Sam's club. We barely make it back to the store without getting sick. The smell is beyond describable. We walk into Sam's club and the clerks start backing away. A pregnant clerk makes a mad dash for the bathroom. Another clerk runs and opens a case of Fabreeze and starting spraying like crazy. They refund my money and I ask them If I could have a can of fabreeze to air out house/car. They opened a case for their use, so giving me one was not a big deal. The clerk called and asked the manager and he said buy it yourself. He also said if I were a business customer he would have taken care of me. We have spent thousands of dollars at Sam's. All of our big purchases (mattresses, big screen TV, computer, shed, swing set, generator, etc..) have come from them and I usually shop every week there. I bet some businesses have not spent what we have there. So that comment really upset me so I decided to call Sam's corporate office. They apologized and said they would follow up on it and would call me back in a day or two. I have not heard from anyone! I feel like Sam's does not appreciate my business. I have spoken with other grocers who told me a can of fabreeze was the LEAST that should have been done. I was sold a spoiled product that contaminated my car and my home. I had to drive back to the store. Instead of treating me with respect and kindness, I was dismissed as an annoyance. I am seriously considering ending my membership and going to B.J's or Cosco. more
