I have been going to Heather for several years now, and she continues to give me the best haircuts! I get SO many compliments on my hair, and it's always so easy and fun to fix. I've gotten haircuts from people before that may look okay for a week or two, but when Heather cuts it, it looks great for months! I recently moved to missouri, and travel all the way back to Austin so Heather can cut my hair. I'll never go to anyone else! I discovered Sovay after reading reviews on Citysearch. It's so hard to find a stylist who can give me the bright, not-found-in-nature red I want. Sovay is able to get that great red for me. My hair is long and thick and never seems to fall right, but Sovay cuts it so it falls well around my face. Best haircuts I've ever had in my life. And it keeps looking great even as it's growing out. \r \r Sovay also teaches great tricks on how to blowdry your hair so you can duplicate the style, and it's not that straight look that most stylists do that is unflattering on most people. I got a terrible haircut recently [so much for impulses]. \r But Heather completely fixed it, and turned it into one of THE BEST haircuts I've ever had. You can't even tell I used to have ugly, too short, blunt bangs. Sovay is truly an artist! The highlights and color she did on my hair are beautiful, and the cut is perfect. It is such a delight to visit her salon. She is meticulous in her work and makes sure to show you all the techniques to style your hair. She cut my niece's hair and dyed her eyelashes, and she looked beautiful! No matter your age, Sovay will take the time to talk to you about your ""beauty routine"" and will help you decide on a style that is not only flattering but that is manageable for your timeframe. Through a great recommendation of one of my closest friends I found Erica about a year ago. She has been phenomenal in styling and shaping my hair exactly how I wanted over many visits since that time. My last visit we talked some about what a new and better style might be for me, and I left my fate and look in her talented hands. She created a completely new look for me that was has been so great I am complimented daily with comments like I look skinnier, younger, and even taller! Shoot if a hairstyle can do that then you'd better get in there to see Erica STAT!! An ex-girlfriend even told me I look so good that I need to marry Erica since she improved my appearance so much. I recently moved to Austin and was having trouble finding a stylist who really knew what to do with my wavy, semi-frizzy hair (gotta love humidity)! Salon Sovay was recommended to me by a friend and I could not be happier with the service or cut and color that I received from Sovay. During my first visit Sovay spent quite a bit of time asking me about my lifestyle, how I usually wear my hair, the time I like to put in to styling, etc. She also suggested a new style for my hair based on my face shape (and I love it)! She was also able to match a color for my hair that I had put on several years ago and no other stylist had been able to replicate.\r \r I've been back again for another cut and color with Sovay, and she also permed my eyelashes, they looked great as well! The eyelash perm wasn't painful at all, and was actually pretty relaxing. They just now are getting to the point where I need to have them done again and it's been 10 weeks. Great choice for low maintenance during the hot summers in Austin. \r \r The salon is very relaxed and not pretentious. All of the stylists seems really nice and everyone is willing to work around your schedule. Sovay has stayed until 9 pm both times I needed to make an appointment after work. \r \r First rate service all the way with this salon and the best thing is that services are very reasonably priced for the quality you receive!!! I just recently moved to Austin, and am a highlighting junkie. I did alot of research on where to get my hair done, including a cut and full highlights. I came across Salon Sovay on the internet and thought it sounded right up my alley. I was totally right!! The cute bungalow building is vintage chic, with modern touches throughout. The place is warm and welcoming and very intimate as well. Sovay is cute as a button, and so passionate about her work. Refreshments were offered and fun magazines to read while I went through the paces. I got amazing highlights! I mean truly amazing. I used to live in NYC and have gone to the top salons there, and the cut and color Sovay gave me tops them all. To top it all off I got my lashes dyed and permed, which pretty much transformed my life! Im not even joking... Ladies you should all get this done. Its amazing. You wont have to curl your lashes or wear any mascara for 3 months!! Its ridiculous.... I have gotten so many compliments on my new look, and I feel great. I cant wait to go back again, I feel so lucky to have found a great salon on the first go! You should all do yourselves a favor and go to Sovay, she rocks!!! Shes my personal hero in Austin. One thing I've realized when getting a hair cut is that, not only does the stylist have to do a fantastic job, but personality/customer service, is as equally important. Heather Davis at Salon Sovey does AMAZING hair with both, cut and color. There's no wonder, with her expertise and training she's had as well! Heather is also one of the most caring stylists I have ever been to. She is honest when I need advice on a particular style and would never let me leave her chair unsatisfied. It is easy to trust her, knowing how deeply she cares, that you are truley happy with her work and it helps to know, if you want anything changed...she is happy to do it with a smile. It's hard to find that in business owners these days, especially in a big city! more

I have had my hair colored and but by Sovay for almost three years now.. I was her last client at Cosmetology School and followed her to the opening of her new salon. I won't let anyone else touch my hair, ever again! \r \r Her hours are flexible, she is very prompt and a delight to be around. I find her business to be extremely clean, run professionally and truly a great add to the Austin Salon scene. \r \r Sovay has a great eye for color and dimension ... she really customizes her work for each and every client. Heather has been the only one to touch my hair for the last three years. She has done all kinds of color and cuts and everything is always well above par. She will walk you through step by step of what she's doing and why. Heather always makes 100% sure you know what you want so she can make you 100% happy. I've seen her do young girls hair as well as mature women, all leaving happy. You will always find something to talk about with Heather, which usually makes me lose track of time. As she just moved to Austin, I will have no problem making the 30 minute drive to see my friend and hairsylist. more

You have to make an appointment with Brooke Boales. I have had many hair stylist and my best friend does hair and Brooke is great. The products that she uses for color are great. I have been highlighting and have dyed my hair for the last 10 years and the products that Brooke uses meet my highest standards. Not only is the product good, but I have found that you need to have a hair stylist that listens to you and understands what you want and Brooke is really good at understanding what I want. I have only had my hair done twice with Brooke, but my first appointment I changed my hair color from blonde to more of my natural hair color that is like a redish/brown base with blonde highlights. And if you know anything about color, you know that when you are going from blonde to brunette you have to add a little bit of red into the dye and my hair pulls red and honestly after she was done it was perfect. I had a little bit of red, but it was soft. The color was practically identical to the magazine cut out that I had brought in. If you want a GREAT hair-style you gotta see Brooke at Salon Sovay.
