After dealing with Dr. Zafan medical assistant and the office manager Row who was so rude and unprofessional. It's amazing the office have patients waiting for over an hour then to deal with un professionalism is unacceptable. I've been a patient at this office for many years and the treatment i received today is unacceptable. After speaking with the office manager Row, it's obvious it's about money and not the health of their patients. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I've been experiencing pain and pressure do to my fibroids. I called the office to make an appt and was instructed by the triage nurse to go to the hospital which I did. Once I was discharged from the hospital I called to make an appt at Royal Palm OB/GYN because I still was in a great deal of pain. I saw the nurse practitioner the next day, she explained to me my fibroids was causing the discomfort I'm having and told me to relax and take it easy. I didn't return to work the following day because I barely can walk and was told to take it easy and relax. I called the office to speak with the nurse practitioner medical assistant to explain I need medical forms filled out for my job. And was told she will only excuse one day and that would be the day I was seen in the office. Common sense if I'm a patient at your facility and under your care and I'm experiencing pain and pressure (remind you I'm 24 weeks pregnant) do you expect for me to return to work after being told to relax and take it easy. Then was told by Row the office manger, there will be a 25 dollars fee, which is no problem. But I've never had to pay a fee as long as I've been a patient there. (Over 8 +years) It's obvious it's not about the health of patients. I love the doctors and the front staff but I can't deal with unprofessional rude ppl. more

I would recommend to anyone. Back in 2011 I had a horrible experience where I was bleeding heavily. I went to multiple hospitals emergencies rooms with no explanation and reasons why I was bleeding. I also visit multiple clinics with no information just doctors giving me different meds that's not working. Then I went to royal palm ob/gyn they were the only person who actually cared they did everything in there power to let me know what was wrong. After multiple exams they realize I have fabroids. they educate me on what they were and gave me medication that stop my bleeding. Thanks to royal palm I'm healthy and currently expecting my first child. more

Rude and misleading. I was kept waiting for over an hour and a half for my first appointment. I was told it was because the ""computers were down"" but everyone who came in after me was seen before me, including a woman who had a later appointment with the provider I was seeing. I told them up front that I did not have insurance, and that I'd be paying for this appointment out-of-pocket. I was told (on the phone in advance and when I arrived) that the first appointment would cost $285 and that I would have bloodwork done. When I was finally called back for my appointment, I was told that the $285 only covered the ""consultation"" and ""confirmation of pregnancy"" - a urine test I could take at home for $10. If I wanted bloodwork, I would be billed ""thousands"" of dollars later by the lab. I definitely have never heard of bloodwork costing thousands of dollars, but I was more upset that I hadn't been informed that it would be a separate charge. I actually left with a refund after waiting an hour and a half for nothing. There was no apology for the wait or the misinformation. As a first appointment for my first pregnancy, it was extremely disappointing, and I won't be going back. more

Worst Gyno Ever!! 5/9/2012

Very rude. Kept me on hold for a total of 39 mins. Finally spoke with a women named Cathy. And I must say that I am afraid that I took my frustrations out on her, and she did not deserve that, but they want to charge me 169.00 to come back for a refill on a script. heads up rip off, rude, and horribly staffed. more

Unprofessional, Greedy and Rude Staff 2/10/2012

The women in the front office are all in the wrong profession. They overbook clients and have clients wait in the lobby for hours at a time and then tell us that they are running behind when people start to get irate. The front desk personnel are totally unprofessional, they obviously are there to just pick up a paycheck and not interested in the care of the people assisting with their salaries. I just wish these offices would not be so greedy and overbook to cash in on the insurance companies and doing mediocre work. The BBB will be hearing from me as well...and I will have the doctors deliver my baby safely if they do not want anymore problems. This office will need to make alot of changes if they want people to be totally satisfied. I know the saying you can't please everyone, but in this profession, you as caregivers better bust your ass to do just that.... more

Unprofessional, Unethical Office 1/3/2012

I am expecting and in pain who has been trying to reach the office and the automated system does not allow me to make an appt. or reach anyone. ""If u r a dr., hospital or have an emergency, press 1 --- ""The person you are trying to reach is unavailable...good bye!"" Then you are disconnected. ""If u want to make an appt., press 2...The person u r trying to reach is unavailable..good bye!: to reach a medical assistant, press 3...""The person u r trying to reach is unavailable..good bye!. etc......I should call the BBB. Horrible! more

great service 6/15/2011

hello i had my obgyn service there back in 2009 i feel it was the best service ever, the nurse if i had a question they tried they best to answer. What i did not like really is the switching nurse and i had to be saying someone different i really did not like that. But over all they were there when it was time for me to have my baby, afterword everything works out fine i would prefer dr zfran i belive he made it clear and explain to me what was going to happen and if i needed emergency care tehy would tell me to come in and if needed to go to the hospital they make sure i get there. I would reccomand this office to anyone. the waiting area to me dont make a differ but i loved it and now im expecting my 2nd child i will be seeing them again. more

A comparison of Royal Palm OB/GYN and Green and Urribarri 3/2/2011

I can tell you that Green and Urribarri have a wonderful waiting room and a great website. I can also tell you that the doctors there are capable helping you have a healthy pregnancy and delivery. That's it. The staff however is seemingly incapable of returning phone calls or sending a simple fax. The doctors are decent but maintain their distance and make it clear that they will be glad to get your appointment over with as quick as possible. Schnee is the nicest one there. I can also tell you that after checking out Royal Palm OB/GYN, and in particular Dr. Zafran, that you can have a better experience. The waiting room isn't so pretty and they don't have a website. But what they do have is a capable staff and a team of doctors that are not only capable of helping you have a healthy pregnancy and delivery, but are also more reliable, caring and reachable. Dr. Zafran gave us his personal email address. He was being called away to a c-section as we came for our first appointment with him but made it very clear to us and the staff that he was going to give us our due time, not rush us and not interrupt us. I always thought I would be more comfortable with a female doctor, but within the first two minutes of meeting Dr. Zafran I felt incredibly comfortable with him. He treats you like a small town doctor treats patients he has known for years. He listens, he communicates clearly and is very personable. I never felt this comfortable with any of the doctors at Green and Urribarri even after multiple appointments with them. Futhermore, we are a high risk pregnancy and Dr. Zafran quickly offered a safe and more accurate way to monitor our condition, without further cost, that Green and Urribarri never thought of. We were recommended to Dr. Zafran when we were in a position where Green and Urribarri were in a price war with our insurance company and were possibly not renewing their contract with our insurance. Dr. Zafran was originally just a back-up in case Green and Urribari did not renew that contract. However, regardless of the outcome, we are switching to Dr. Zafran. Green and Urribari put us, their patients, in the middle of this price war and encouraged us to pressure our insurance company - Blue Cross Blue Shield - to yield to their demands. Incredibly unprofessional. When entering my 3rd trimester of a high risk pregnancy, I do not want to be in a situation where I may not have a doctor suddenly because my doctor doesn't want to pay more to my insurance company. Also, as of 2011, Green and Urribari will only associate with Coral Springs Medical Center. At Royal Palm OB/GYN you will have a choice between Coral Springs Medical Center and Northwest Medical Center. We're going with Coral Springs, but the additional option is nice. So, if you care more about a fancy waiting room and website, go with the robotic Green and Urribari. If you want doctors who care and are more reliable, choose Royal Palm OB/GYN. more
