Roger The Plumber

This company is a total rip off. They wanted $500 to replace an outside water spicket where the plumbing to the spicket on the inside and out was totally accessable. Another plumbing service completed the job for $125. They do charge you to show up and attempt to rip you off. Just do your self a favor and call someone else. more

Total ripoff. Wanted to charge me \r $650.00 for about 90 min job. He would have supplied no parts for this job. Another plumber did job for $200.00.Avoid this guy like the plague! Sorry I can't give zero or minus stars. more

Clogged drain in bathroom sink. Started telling me he didnt know if he could open the plug to the pipes.. Brought in another man. They both ended up on my roof.!!!!! Finallly, They wanted to rip out my bedroom wall to the tune of about $1200. Rip off artists. Husband went down basement and cleaned out the drain in 30 minutes. Buyer beware!!!!! more

Predatory Rates!!!!!!\r Yes.....they give you a complete "menu" price (with no breakdown on items / labor). When a hot water heater goes out on a Sunday, they respond quickly with a low service call.\r But they more than make up for it when they charge $1800 for a hot water heater & installation. \r On Monday when we were able to call reputable dealers, we found that the hot water heater retails for about $400.\r Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. This company is building its marketing dollars on each call.\r We were overcharged over $1000 over other reputable plumbing companies. And we're seniors like many other of his customers.\r Shame on you Roger...........and we won't be shamed again when we need a plumber next time. more

Roger The Plumber surely into serious business. People at Roger are extremely talented. I have not met such skilled people. They are courteous and helpful moreover technicians from Roger are available 24/7. It takes them minutes to be at doorstep and they always listen to what we say and how we want things to be done. I am glad that I found Roger Plumbing, have got their number on my speed dial. So, from now on I don't have to worry about any plumbing emergencies cause I know Roger will take care of them. I've had them out a few times over the years. They do good work, but I have to agree they are very expensive compared to other providers. Several hundred dollars to replace a kitchen faucet and a couple minor valves under the kitchen sink (and I provided the faucet). Initially tried to sell me on a cheap Delta faucet from their truck at an unbelievable mark-up. They do try to up-sell and point out other areas that need repair. I should have declined and just forfeited the visit fee after their estimate, felt foolish (and screwed) after the work was done. Same with a garbage disposal installation when I was new to home ownership. Won't call them again. I imagine their rates are universally high, but how much they get you for probably has a lot to do with the specific salesman/plumber who shows up at your door. On a broader note, consider whether you need a plumber at all. I wish I had contacted a regular (and cheaper) handyman for simple projects like the faucet and garbage disposal in more

Would recommend this company. They are honest, the show up on time. They come fully prepared. What I really like is they give the prices in writing before doing the work, so there is no guess work on what I am charged. The plumber we had out was very experienced and left the area even cleaner that it was when he arrived. My shower drain was leaking and was leaking in basement. Since they were out I also had them install a new bathroom faucet. The work was done promptly and efficiently. I had on a previous date had them install a new kitchen faucet. I recently had service from Roger The Plumber. I was very happy with the excellent service. I was surprised I got a plumber at my door within the hour as promised. I had call another well known plumber in our area and was promised one time and they did not call nor show up. \r \r The service I received was fast and efficient. Everything needed was on the truck, they came fully prepared.\r \r I read the story about the Grandma being ripped off. I would question that as I know that I had to sign saying I authorized for the plumber to do the work quoted. Prices were give and explained fully before any work was done. Friends keep telling me to just go to Home Depot. You've got to be kidding me--those people know nothing, and they put returned deficient merchandise right back on the shelf for the next sucker to waste their time with. \r \r When I call Roger, he brings the entire store right to my door, and the tech knows what the heck he's doing. He's not gonna blow up my house. I laugh when I read about people trying to do it themselves. They're crazy to risk their biggest investment. Some guy in Arizona actually blew up his house messing with the pressure relief valve on his water heater. You get what you pay for with Roger: immediate service, a price before they start, and it's the same price for everyone. I'm sick of these whiners acting like a company is sizing up their grandma. My poor Grandma had to take money out of savings for plumbing problems. They charged her 4X what another plumbing company would have charged. Left the toilet leaking and ruined the ceiling below. She called Roger to complain, and he said, What do you want me to do about it? POOR SERVICE, HIGH PRICES! DO NOT USED THESE PEOPLE! more

they charged us $325 dollars to replace a thermocoupler ($6 at homedepot ) , it took him 15 mins. They also tried to get us to replace the entire water tank even though no leaks, they gave us a quote of $1700, You can get this installed at homedepot for a total of $500. They give you a cheap call out price and then they hope you will not get a second quote. BUYER BEWARE!!! PROS: quick call out CONS: extortionate pricing more

Roger the plumber is a family owned business. They are pretty well known in this area. We had a stopped up drain and they were out the next day to take care of us. Very fairly priced and super friendly! We also got a quote on a water heater, but moved before we replaced it. I would recommended calling them if you ever have any plumbing needs. more

Roger the Plumber does quality work, and it is easy to get a same-day appointment, but he is VERY expensive compared to other plumbers.
