Loving and caring environment 7/2/2012

I have a 4 year old child that attends Robindell. The teachers are very caring and loving. I would like to say that I love leaving my child there knowing that he is being well taken care of. They have a wonderful curriculum that is being taught to them. My child has learned so much this year! more

Summer is here 6/18/2012

Summer is here and my kids have never been so excited about going to daycare. They have an awesome summer program and the kids are doing really neat arts and crafts projects, going on field trips off campus twice a week and having a splash day where they get to play on a splash pad and a huge water slide. They can t wait for splash day each week on Fridays. I don t think they are going to let me miss one. They are going to Moody Gardens, Kemah, Astros Game, Nasa, Zuma, Moneky Joes ITZ and other placed. Prices aren't bad either. I can t think of a better place for the money to put them in a summer program that is going to keep them this excited about coming to school. more

Good experiance 6/7/2012

They are open round the clock 7 days a week. If my daughter is sick on Monday, we can take her Sunday and it gives us a chance to have a "date" or do other items, for which a child is not always so convenient to have around. They are a fabulous school and I am truly grateful to have found them. more

Feels comfortable 5/30/2012

My child enjoys coming to Robindell. She loves the teachers. When I pick her up in the evening she never wants to leave. She enjoys playing with the other children. My daughter is 2 years old now. I feel comfortable leaving my child here and not looking to send her anywhere else. The school is always clean, lovable, teachers and nice environment for kids. more

Pleased 5/15/2012

I have had my 3 year old here since she was 10 months old. The staff has always been very nice to her and me. She has learned so much over the past 2 years. I have been very pleased with this center. more

New mom 5/7/2012

I must say, as a new mother, they give boost of confidence and peace of mind to know that they are so capable of looking after my daughter. From the moment we walk into the building, not just her classroom, we are greeted, so they are very aware of who is entering and exiting the infant building. they have separation of age groups. they take the children out for daily walks, sing songs, have group interactions, and are on point with the feedings. they always change her diaper before the ride home, as well are in constant communication when supplies are low, if they notice a change in her behavior, or if she seems to need or want a particular thing. we have meetings on if they think she is ready for the next step or phase of food. more

2 Years old Issue 7/11/2011

my daugther is in this school since she was an infant. I never have any problem in the nursery, but since she moved to 2 years class the problem started. There is no more attension about learning program. There are so many children in the class not all of them got the opportunity for learning. There is no enough educational activies in the class. The teachers who care of 2 years some of them are so mean and have a bad attitude. They treated the children differentally. If they love one, they give him/her more attension than the other. This is really so bad. I wish they change this behaviour becasue it will affect the children who did not have more attension. more

Getting a good teacher is 50/50. 2/27/2009

Both of my kids attend school here and have been going here for about 3 years. The only problems that I have is the 1 - 2 year old age group. When my son was in that group there was not enough educational or stimulating activies to keep the kids from just getting bored and fighting all day. They fought over toys a lot in his class rooms. I was told that they don't do instructional learning at that age because the kids won't sit still. His previous daycare Kindercare had 18 mth old kids doing daily crafts, coloring, and learning colors and shape. Of course they were way more expensive so you get what you pay for. Once he graduated into the 3 year old age group they have instructional learning and my son is adding subtracting reading simple words writing daily and his class is learning phonics in english and spanish. This is a good option for kids older than 3 and younger than 15mths. But parents remember that you have to stay on top of teachers if they are not treating your kids right. If you kid is coming home with diaper rashes, scratches etc. you need to contact the director. I have had these issues and they were resolved immediately. Management staff is very responsive to parent complaints and they are quick to fire a teacher for mistreating kids. over the years we have had really good teachers and really crappy teachers but the teachers they have now are way better than the ones they had when we first started. Pros: Great price, great hours for working parents, healthy food choices Cons: not enough stimulating curriculum for smaller children more

great experience, good value 10/13/2008

The center is huge which was a concern for me at first, but each building has it's own office area and is run almost like a seperate school for each age group. I have a 12 mo old and 3 year old and both of my sons teachers are out very sweet. My baby is always happy when I come to pick him up, and my 3 year old always seems entertained. They gave me a curiculum guideline for the 3 year old and from what I can see the teachers do a good job teaching not just playing which was important to me. The summer's were also great because they have thier own splash pad and inflatable waterslides for the children. My older son could not wait for splash day each week. I also found the facility to be very secure. They have security gaurds on site every day when I pick up at around 7pm, I'm told he stays there all night long. Overall I have had nothing but positive vibes from the school. I would highly recommend it which I have to several of my friends. I think they have a wait right now for infants under 12 months which means they must be doing something right. My youngers son's teacher has been there for 23 years. Wow! Pros: affordable, high quality childcare Cons: haven't seen any yet! more

Not Very Safe 4/23/2008

I enrolled my two sons (ages 2 & 4) in Robindell since they were a 24 daycare, and my husband works 2nd shift and I on weekends. The staff was always very nice and helpful, but there are just too many kids for the teachers. Frequently I would go in to pick up my kids, and they would run off the playground and out to my car, without a teacher or staff noticing. The final straw was when I went to pick them up, and my 4 year old turned up missing. No teacher knew were he was. After 1/2 hour, they found him in another building across the street. It just is not a safe environment. more

Uncooperative 2/29/2008

I?m a college student who needed to complete an assignment observing a day care. I contacted Robindell Private School as suggested by one of my friends. When I called the place I was told to stop by the facility and talk to the person in charge of internships. To my surprise when I was there they told me I could not observe the facility. I wonder why they wouldn?t let me look at it! This is strange, because the other child care centers I contacted were very polite and more than willing to help out with my assignment. If I were a mother, certainly, this wouldn?t be a place I would consider safe for my child. Do they have something to hide? Who knows more

I have to agree! 1/18/2008

My kids just started attending Robindell only because their previous daycare which was Shining Star stopped opening 24/7 And alot pf people recommended that robindell was a good 24 hour daycare. Now dont get me wrong it is a nice place and the staff is very friendly and helpful, but they just have too many kids to focus on all of them and sometimes they cant even remember where my kids are half the time meaning anybody could snatch my child and they not notice! I remember quite a few times i walked in got my child and left and no one even noticed me leaving with my child,They do have a security guard at night but still anyone can just walk in and out of the daycare anytime they want and thats just not scure at all to me. more

it was like a big corrall 7/30/2007

My son enjoyed his day there, but it was an awful experience for me as a mother. I needed a place that could watch my 4 year old on a saturday because I had to work, and they are open on saturdays, 24 hours I think. There was no security whatsoever, I think any stranger could have went in and taken my son if they wanted to. There had to be like 1 teacher per 20 kids, TONS of kids, corralled in the gym and in the outdoor playground. The teacher had no interest in who I was, because she was so busy yelling at all the kids. When I arrived to pick him up, no one knew where he was. I had to go through a swarm of kids and ask 3 different teachers if my son was in her class. Also, his nap blanket come up missing. My son said he had a fun time, but I will never leave him there again. It doesnt seem safe. Not recommended. Pros: Open Saturdays, 24 hours. Cons: Too many kids/ Not enough teachers. ZERO Security. more
