Best Salon in Seattle!!! 12/15/2008

I have been to Salon Acropolis 5 times now and each time I have a great outcome. Iris is a great hair stylist and really makes me feel comfortable in the chair. I moved up to Seattle and was very hesitant to find a new salon, but Iris and Salon Acropolis is a great fit. I get more compliments on my hair than I ever have. I would recommend this salon to anyone! more

Fab Hair! 6/24/2008

I have been going to Salon Acropolis for over 12 years now, with Robert, the owner himself, as my hair stylist. I am always thrilled with my ""new style"" haircuts and have received numerous compliments on each and every one of them. He never lets me down. : ) more

Expectations Exceeded 6/16/2008

I went to Salon Acropolis for the first time about 6 weeks ago and saw Iris. She did a PHENOMENAL job on my hair. I explained what I wanted and that was exactly what I got. She explained everything she was doing, why she was doing it, and even gave me some awesome tips for re-creating the look at home. She was knowledgable about everything- from my hair type to just about anything under the sun. I would encourage everyone reading this to book your next hair color or cut with her-she's fantastic. I am hooked and will be going back regularly. more

5 Star Luis! 6/5/2008

I have been to Salon Acropolis to see Luis 3 times now and have ALWAYS been fabulously happy with my cut and color! He listens and delivers every time. Luis is personable, knowledgable and oh, so talented! I LOVE my hair; it nearly styles itself after a cut by Luis. I am so happy to have found a salon and a stylist that I can really count on, after 5 years in Seattle. The salon is comfortable and the staff and service is great. Ask for Luis, you can't go wrong. Oh, also Robert's *magic potion* hair smoothing formula is fantastic. more

My best cut in 10 years 2/7/2008

I was referred to Iris from a friend in Seattle. I didn't have to wait forever to get an appointment which was great. I walked in knowing only that I didn't want my length to change and that I'd like to be able to let my inner curl emerge again (after 5 years of straightening). Iris gave me a fantastic shape and I have not stopped receiving compliments on what a great new look I have. I have fine, curly hair and have never been satisfied with it until now. more

Best haircut and chat you will ever have. 1/23/2008

Robert has been doing my hair for over 13 years and I continue to see him although I have to drive almost 25 miles to get to him now. I would highly recommend Robert to anyone and have done so many times with wonderful results. Everyone that I have sent has been very happy with him. I don't know what I will do if he ever decides to retire!!!\r aimee more

Iris is amazing! 1/21/2008

I found Salon Acropolis using City Search and have become an ambassador for the Salon and for Iris. For the first time I can say ""I LOVE MY HAIR!"" She is a wonderful stylist - truly an artist - Iris appreciates the client's perspective and is able to combine this with her own recommendations to create beautiful, artsy, natural coloring and great cuts that never need much fussing. I have recommended her to several friends and they have all loved their cuts and color. I am never going anywhere else! Thank you Iris! more

great cut and color 1/21/2008

I went to Salon Acropolis because of the user reviews here. I wanted a change for the new year you know - reinvent myself inside and out. Robert listened patiently and totally got what I was going for and did a great job with the color and cut. It truly was a leap of faith to go in without ever having actually seen any of his work, especially for a type A personality like me, but he was amazing and I am really pleased. I would highly recommend this salon. more

Luis is fabulous! 1/15/2008

I recently moved to Queen Anne and wanted to try a salon up here on the hill. I randomly selected Salon Acropolis and crossed my fingers. I am delighted to say that I found a serious treasure a few weeks ago in both Salon Acropolis and in my new favorite stylist Luis. Luis did a fantastic job coloring my hair for the holidays. I have had numerous compliments and haven't loved my hair this much in a long time. Luis is a secret best not kept. more

Hair with Flair 11/9/2007

I just had to share my feelings about Salon Acropolis. I live in Oregon, but come to Seattle just because of Salon Acropolis. Robert Holman is an expert with color and the latest styles and he is not afraid to tell me what I really need to make myself look better. He has been in the business a long time, and he knows his stuff. I have often had people tell me I look years younger, when in fact I just had Robert change my hair color or give me a cut that creates a new look for me. John Dupuis greets you at the front desk, and I know for a fact that customers come in just to say hi to John, since he is so friendly and helpful. Although I have not personally been to the other stylists at Salon Acropolis, I know they are some of the best, or they wouldn't be working there. I've had complete strangers stop me and ask me where I have my hair cut, and that is always a nice surprise. I would highly recommend Salon Acropolis for the talented stylists, the friendly atmosphere, and the sincere desire they all have to make you look better than you thought you could. It is a good enough salon to make me come from Oregon......Guess I can't give it a higher recommendation than that. Say hi to that cute Robert for me...... more

A great salon I can always count on 11/8/2007

After trying numerous other salons around Seattle, I finally found a keeper. I've been seeing Robert for several years now, and the results hair-wise are always stellar. In addition to great cuts and styles, Salon Acropolis is really well run --- everyone is friendly and helpful --- you won't find the stiff attitude of some other establishments. I highly recommend Robert and Salon Acropolis. Pros: Great service. Awesome cuts. Evening appointments. Cons: Not open on Sunday or Monday more

Artistic and talented Iris at Salon Acropolis 10/9/2007

My maid of honor and I recently had updos for my wedding that were created by Iris. We both had rave reviews by several people and the photos turned out great. Iris is very talented and I highly reccommend her artistic and natural style. Iris was a breath of fresh air 7/5/2007

I recently moved to Seattle from Denver, CO, and was sure I'd never find a stylist as in-tune with my hair and style as before. Iris proved me wrong. Not only did she clean up and maintain my hairstyle, she improved my bangs & gave me lots of ideas for things to do as a newbie in the area. I also love Redken products and was thrilled to be ""greeted"" by them at the door. Iris, you're a sweetheart---thank you! more

Great and affordable hair cut/styling 7/1/2007

I saw Iris at Salon Acropolis and she was fabulous. She knew exactly how to do the style that I wanted and it turned out GREAT. Iris is extremely friendly and helped make the time go by quickly. There is always parking nearby, and they are very flexible with appointments. The owner also gave me a few product samples to try in my hair to see if I liked them before I went out and bought them. This was really helpful for me, and I really liked the products he reccommended as well! I definitely reccommend this salon and Iris. Pros: Parking, price, service, outcome Cons: None that I can think of! more

Iris is witty and knows her stuff!!!! A keeper! 6/29/2007

I had a haircut and style done by Iris and boy let me tell you, this girl has got talent! Not only did she give me the best cut I have ever had, but she was able to answer all my questions about hair and products and explain them in a way that I could understand. She is very charming and polite. I could tell that she was passionate about what she does, and enjoys it as well; something that I have always found to be key with a stylist. She has made a client out of me, can't wait to have her do my foils! Thanks Iris!!! more

Luis is great! 5/2/2007

I have been looking for a salon to call my own, after many unsuccessful attempts to receive a ""good"" haircut. I was referred to citysearch and found Salon Acropolis which is just up the street from where I live.\r Luis was the best thing that has happened to my hair in a very long time. I was impressed by his hair, first off. He was very polite and attentive, but offered suggestions. Luis had self confidence and in his French accent said ""No worries"". My haircut is wonderful. It is stylish and easy to care for. I believe I have found my ""hair salon"" ! more

I just recently started going to Serena and I found a keeper. I have always been a customer who goes from one stylist to the next. I will be going to Serena from now on. She is fun to talked to and look at. For a guy who doesn't like getting his haircut she makes it a great experience!!!! \r \r more
