The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel was an amazing hotel to stay out from the atmosphere to the staff. While I was there, I was able to walk to multiple locations downtown becuase of the great location. Overlooking the balcony was a great view of the city and the River. more

As soon as we entered we were greeted by the staff, who were all friendly and helpful. The hotel was very modern and had comfy sofas and beds. The location was great, my friends and i walked to the Alamo, World Genus Museum, the Haunted house, and also did the 3d Tomb Raider rider. more

Amazing 10/5/2010

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and it was amazing. We stayed in the executive suite and the shower was awesome, along with the jacuzzi tub. The view of the balcony was very, very nice. You could actually see the Riverwalk from below the balcony. We actually walked to dinner just 2 blocks to the Marketplace, which was very convenient since we didn't have to get back in our vehicle and drive somewhere. Everything was in walking distance from where the hotel is located. The bed in the hotel was even better than the bed we have at home and it was so cozy and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend my family, friends or anyone to stay at this hotel because it is definitely a diamond in the rough type hotel and we definitely enjoyed our time there. Don't forget to take time to see the painting in the front lobby of the flying woman! more

This boutique hotel is the best I have stayed at in Texas 9/27/2010

I travel a lot with my job and also for vacation travel. This boutique hotel is the best I have stayed at in Texas. Pulling into the covered driveway, there's a beautiful mural. The staff told me it's the largest mural in San Antonio. The hotel lobby was pretty, beautiful tiles and more murals. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I was concerned by the reviews I had read from a couple years ago, but my son lives in San Antonio and said I would love this hotel. He was so right! They had a change in management about year ago, and have made so many upgrades. It was elegant, but very comfortable. Wonderful amenities in the rooms, clean, clean, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was to die for!! Big whirlpool tub and stand up shower. Bathroom was not small, plenty of room to move around!!! King size bed and plasma TV in the hotel room. I had a great night's rest!! Enjoyed the quiet and relaxation time! There is a wonderful coffee/breakfast lounge area, and terrific bar called Bar-Salona. Tried the sangria and tapas! What a treat! There is a beautiful heated pool with a lot of green areas to relax! more

The rooms were very clean and made for a relaxing stay 9/23/2010

The rooms were very clean and made for a relaxing stay. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the set-up of the room was great in order to get work down while enjoying a vacation. It's a great location, with a great view of the river walk. Also, the pool side area is beautiful. I would definitely recommend others to stay at this hotel, and I know anytime I go back to San Antonio I will be staying there as well. more

Amazing hotel 9/20/2010

We arrived at the hotel and from being greeted at the front desk, to the comfort level of the pool and atmosphere of the hotel we enjoyed every moment. more

Your wonderful staff 9/17/2010

Your wonderful staff; Yuli, Ricardo, and the other staff at the front desk as well as your painters and maid service were extremely helpful. The second we got in the door, Yuli greeted us with a friendly smile, cookies and water; which we could not believe, because no one at the first class hotels did any of that for us (cookies!).? more

This hotel was one of the better experiences that I've had 9/16/2010

Being the first time I've visited San Antonio since i was young, this hotel was fit for that weekend/holiday trip for my friends and I. They had a nice open area for the bar/ restaurant and even a cafe with a fairly extensive menu. The food was unique with special tapas and flavorful with different types of cuisine, but without the increased price of a hotel restaurant. The location of the hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk of the riverwalk, restaurants, and the Alamo. There was one time where noone answered at the front desk when I called from my room, but I called back a minute later and it was answered within 2 rings. When 1 of my friends asked for hairspray, they said that they will try to find some. 30 minutes later, after thinking that they wouldn't have any, a bottle of hairspray was provided at our door. The only thing that I could criticize was that not all their rooms had a flat panel TV like my friends had, but the staff stated that they were in the process of upgrading them. One of the special things about this hotel is that they had a modern lounge area with news on the tv, art that can be purchased off the wall and even a collection of books that allows you to take and/or leave a book if you choose. Being a frequent traveler for business and leisure, this hotel was one of the better experiences that I've had. more

Amazing hotel Loved it 9/9/2010

This hotel is not like any other. I went to San Antonio for a friend’s birthday party some of us stayed here and others stayed at another hotel down the street. I must say i defiantly made the right choice choosing this over anything else. This little boutique hotel has very friendly staff and very nice rooms. Walking through the hotel you will notice amazing artwork made by local artist that are for sale. Also the hotel is right on the river walk so there was no need for me to drive anywhere once i got there. They also offer private catered dinners which is amazing and very reasonably priced. They set up a room for about 20 of us and we had a private catered dinner that was much better than all of us going out to a restaurant and spending the same amount of money. They also have a delicious restaurant and bar connected to the hotel so you don't have to go very far to have a good time. Also the beds were amazing i liked the bed so much i had to get the manufacturers information and i will be contacting them to purchase a bed very soon. more

There is a beautiful heated pool with a lot of green areas to relax! This would be a great hotel for a business traveler or family vacation. It is downtown, but not on the beaten path. Close to the downtown attractions, easy access to the airport. They even have courtesy cars for their guests. No problem getting a taxi, made for an easy relaxing trip. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm in San Antonio. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel with the best rates in the city! Much more reasonable than the other hotels in the area. Overall, this is the best trip I've had in along time. I will be coming back to San Antonio to see my son and I won't stay anywhere else. more

I really liked this hotel 9/7/2010

At first I was a little skeptical about this hotel, after I had problems with them getting my reservations wrong. I had asked for a queen bed, and they booked me for 2 doubles. They also had someone else's credit card receipt mixed up on my paperwork. I didn't feel like they were very organized at the front desk. However, the guy working the counter quickly resolved our situation and upgraded us to a king room with a balcony and a view of the pool. It was a very nice room. The travel samples smelled wonderful, some kind of tropical scent. The view was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The parking situation is a little strange, as it is a one way parking garage. You have to really pay attention before driving on the ramps. The hallways were weird looking and smelled strange, but once inside our room, it was great. Other than the few mishaps, I really liked this hotel, and I would stay here again. Oh, and to top it off...there was an old Rolls Royce in the parking garage basement. It was really neat to see that. more

Great place 9/2/2010

Great place, loved the fact that the parking is only $12. per day and we can come in&out as many times as we want. Our friends are staying at a diff. hotel here downtown, and their parking is $28. per day........crazy. Riverwalk Plaza is incredibly close to the Riverwalk, very nice staff, rooms are the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep on and not to mention the wonderful pillows. Great place to stay at and have a very relaxing, great time in san antonio. more
