Being the first time I've visited San Antonio since i was young, this hotel was fit for that weekend/holiday trip for my friends and I. They had a nice open area for the bar/ restaurant and even a cafe with a fairly extensive menu. The food was unique with special tapas and flavorful with different types of cuisine, but without the increased price of a hotel restaurant. The location of the hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk of the riverwalk, restaurants, and the Alamo. There was one time where noone answered at the front desk when I called from my room, but I called back a minute later and it was answered within 2 rings. When 1 of my friends asked for hairspray, they said that they will try to find some. 30 minutes later, after thinking that they wouldn't have any, a bottle of hairspray was provided at our door. The only thing that I could criticize was that not all their rooms had a flat panel TV like my friends had, but the staff stated that they were in the process of upgrading them. One of the special things about this hotel is that they had a modern lounge area with news on the tv, art that can be purchased off the wall and even a collection of books that allows you to take and/or leave a book if you choose. Being a frequent traveler for business and leisure, this hotel was one of the better experiences that I've had.
