Best Thai In Town 8/10/2010

I looove thai food & have been to numerous thai restaurants. Rice tops them all...hands down. The atmosphere is amazing. The restaurant is located in a cute historic house in downtown Roswell. The walls are decorated with warm colors & colorful artwork. The food is delicious & the presentation of the food is beautiful as well. My favorite is the shrimp with red curry sauce. Service is impeccable. You've gotta check out Rice! more

awesome, fresh food 9/27/2009

We love Rice and go there often. Great service, cool atmosphere and amazingly fresh Thai food. Pros: fresh food, great service Cons: pricey more

Amazing 8/16/2009

I LOVE it! Everything about this place is amazing! I just moved here, this was the first restaurant I went to and I doubt I'll have a better experience anywhere else. The food is fresh and really really really delicious, the atmosphere is cute, quaint, and artsy, and the staff was friendly. For an ultimate experience get a a table outside on their front porch. (You may need a reservation) Pros: Fun, Fresh, Delicious more

Great fresh food 7/26/2008

The owner, according to their website, grows many of the veggies served. If so, it shows. The food is really really good and fresh. It's not like any Thai, familar but seems to be more like ""home cooking"" than Americanized versions of food. The red curry makes my mouth water thinking about it. Parking is a pain, the seating is really weird - even with a reservation and empty tables they may not have a seat...or you have to sit in a really awkard place or on top of other patrons. The accoustics are bad meaning its very loud. But the food...you'll forgive them a lot for the food. Pros: Food Cons: Parking, accoustics more

Good Thai Food! 7/10/2008

Thai Rice has great food, and good service. Seating is a little cramped inside. Parking is a little sparse. Over all great experience. Clean restaurant. Good atmosphere. Pros: Great Thai Food! Cons: Cramped inside more

Truly delicious and savory food, perfect atmosphere 5/14/2008

A little gem of a restaurant, with the option of sitting inside the cozy and artistically decorated rooms, or the pleasant outdoor area. The Tom Yum shrimp soup was a delicious and savory way to start the meal, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Thai noodle stir-fry for dinner, it had the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The service was flawless. Make sure you take a look at the art on the walls, the work is amazing and unique. Rice is my new favorite Thai place. Pros: Food, atmoshpere, service Cons: Parking - limited more

fresh, homemade food 2/29/2008

The owner grows his own veggies and it shows. The food is really fresh and balanced and good. The beef is so tender - in most thai or chinese places, any beef dish is chewy like leather. You can cut the beef here with a fork. Every dish is light and filling at the same time. The place can be a little too loud due to the fact it's a small old house, it's not a place for a romantic dinner but it's great for a nice night out when you want good food and its still cozy enough to have a nice date. Its Thai home cooking. The art on the walls is amazing. Pros: Great prices, amazing food Cons: a little loud, a little cramped. Jazz on weekends is nice but place is so small, you have to yell to be heard when it's playing more

REALLY Horrible Service & Not So Terrific Food 6/4/2007

We had a reservation and were quickly swept to our table, but we sat there for 30 minutes for our waitress to stop by our table. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable. When our dinner arrived, it was ONE MEAL SHORT! So there we were, a party of four, with 3 of our meals getting cold! There was no apology made. Cons: Food, Service, Price more

Decent thai food 5/2/2007

Rice Thai has a small menu but the food is great and pleases the palate. I had the pad thai which was good and would love to try the curries next. The service is very good and the price tends to be on the higher side. more

Everything was Great....Words can not express how great this place is 3/18/2007

My newly financee and I went here on a special romantic weekend in atlanta. This was his first time trying Thai food and our waiter Jeff made the food selection so fun. My financee loved it and so did I. We had the basil rolls which were bursting with flavor. I had the green curry and my financee had the panang chicken...both of them tasted so mouth watering. We both also had dessert of ice and sweet rice. The restaurant is so romantic and breath-taking. On top of everything the prices are mind blowing...our entire meal with the basil rolls, 2 meals and 2 desserts was less than 40 dollars Pros: Everything was great more

BEST in North Atlanta area. 9/13/2004

I was dissapointed with every asian restaurant around until we found Rice. It is now my new favorite! This upscale Thai restaurant serves the most delicious green curry I have tasted. You won't find the standard canned bamboo shoots or broccoli; rather, fresh unusual ingredients like Thai eggplant, lotus root, and according to our waiter, even vegetables from the chef's garden. Also fantastic are the lamb chops and the sticky rice banana dessert with coconut ice cream. MMmmm. Pros: EXCELLENT quality , nice service, sweet ambience Cons: , may be $$ for some more

Takes Thai to the Next level 5/14/2004

Residing in an old home on Canton Street in the heart of Roswell's historic district, Rice breaks with the conventions of most thai restaurants. YOu will find familiar favorites like Red, green, masaman curry dishes and Pad Thai. But you will also find creative entrees that blend the best of Thai cuisine with the west. The pan seared lambchops are my favorite. The atmosphere is elegant and is not themed to look like what Americans expect a Thai restaurant to look like. Service is attentive an knowledgeable. I highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: creative menu, consistently good, ambience more

Lovely Canton Street addition 6/10/2002

The folks with the dough in Roswell are always searching for a new place to park their expensive cars. Rice, which serves quality Thai food, is that new place. The rice is imported from the owner's hometown, and many of the herbs are grown on the property. Touches like that make it worth the dinner entree price of $12-$17. Catering to suburbanite's tendency to be less adventurous, Rice tones down a lot of the dishes, but if you can convince them you want it hot, they'll be happy to oblige. Among the particularily good dishes are the red curry, green curry and penang curry. more
