I would like to thank Maggie O'Connell for guideing me through the reverse mortgage process. She was extremely helpful! She answerd all my questions(numerous),and returned my phone calls in a timely manner. I would recommend that anyone interested in a reverse mortgage contact Maggie O'Connell! If it had not been for my ability to get a reverse mortgage, i would have had to sell my home. I would recommend a reverse mortgage to anyone that wants to pay off their mortgage, and receive a check for the equity in their home! more

She kept in contact with us the whole time. She would call to make sure we understood everything when we had to talk to the notary. When she was going through all the steps of the reverse mortgage she explained everything so that we could understand. She was always on schedule and is very personable. more

Thank you for a good experience 2/13/2013

A 93 year old lady I was helping was healthy, and wanted to stay in her home and could as long as she payed a caregiver to be with her. Her family stressed because they knew she was running out of money. A reverse mortgage was considered and I remembered Rob Black hightly recommending Maggie O'Connell. The process of applying and obtaining a Reverse Mortgage is not an easy one. I searched for just the right kind of assistance to help me through the process and I found that right kind of person in my Agent from American Pacific Mortgage, Maggie O'Connell. She could not have been more helpful in explaining the important details, restrictions and conditions of a HECM Mortgage. She was ever mindful of the pertinent facts that impact my home ownership status with a HECM mortgage. Because of her diligent full disclosure of the details of this transaction, I was able to move ahead with the process with out many surprises. My HECM was funded on schedule and I am pleased to have the security that the loan offers me for my future. I am satisfied with everything Maggie O'Connel did. I was waiting for my divorce to be finalized and once it was, we proceeded with the reverse mortgage. Everything went well, the only thing that took a little time was the paperwork. She was very patient through everything. more

Wonderful, the best, and honest 12/27/2012

I can't say enough good things about Maggie at American Pacific Mortgage - Reverse Mortgages. I've printed her cards and handed them out to anyone who wanted to know about mortgages. She was always there for me and always told me the truth. I found her because she did a reverse loan for my mother, and took really good care of her. Then, when my mother passed away, and I needed to get a reverse mortgage, I immediately knew to call her. I was a year and two months from being 62, and she saw me through the entire process. I was really confused during that period. She didn't turn me away because I wasn't 62 yet. She saved my house. Everything went a lot smoother than I thought possible. more

A reverse mortgage is perfect for us. 11/15/2012

A reverse mortgage was the prefect choice for us. We owned the home out right, and it had a lot of appreciation. We needed improvements and a reverse mortgage would allow us to do them now and pay later as the home continues to appreciate. We love the feature where the balance of our credit line appreciate at the same rate as the interest charged. We also used our loan to pay off some higher rate loans and then had that additional cash each month. Win win!!! Our agent, Maggie O'Connell, helped us understand the benefits of a reverse mortgage as they applied to our situation. She was quite helpful and made us feel secure in our decisions. Everything was handled very quickly and smoothly. more

I had to file bankruptcy and was about to lose my house. American Pacific Mortgage arranged for a reverse mortgage, and through it we were able save the house we live in. They were good people to do business with. They gave me all the help they could possibly give me. I strongly recommend them. more

The reverse mortgage allowed us stay in our nice home. 10/24/2012

Besides staying in our home we were able to maintain the same standard of living despite increasing medical costs and needing to help family members.While the initial costs were not insignificant the very low interest rate has made up for it many times over.Maggie was a great person to work with. I were very pleased with the overall service. more

The whole experience with American Pacific Mortgage was great. I had to go to the hospital, and everything worked out fine. She explained everything. Maggie at American Pacific Mortgage is a really consistent person. She follows through with everything she needs to do and has greatly helped my family. We have owned our house since 1978 but were facing foreclosure. Maggie was our last option. She diligently kept in contact with us and knew our deadlines. We are really pleased with her and her work and cannot recommend her enough. Working with Maggie is great because she is very easygoing. She took the stress out of the situation with her constant encouragement and reassurances that everything was going as planned. Her diligence about contacting us really put my family at ease and helped us be patient, which was a big thing. We owe our future to her right now because the work she did was so good. Excellent personal service and continuted support. 7/20/2012

We had a crunch, and Maggie at Reverse Mortgage was always on the phone keeping us up to date as far as where we were within the process. When there was a problem we would contact here and she would get answers for us in a very short period of time. Just recently we were on the phone with Maggie asking some questions, and even though we are no longer dealing with her directly, she was willing to help us and give us answers. She is kind of like a member of the family now. Reverse Mortgage will bend over backwards to make sure it is done right and in the appropriate time frame. more
