Made the impossible, possible 6/21/2012

American Pacific Mortgage did a great job of reversing our mortgage. When it came time for us to actually want to take the mortgage back on, we had some logistical issues that AP Mortgage was so accommodating with. To reverse our mortgage my name had to be taken off our mortgage and when I wanted to get my name back on my mortgage Maggie made it possible. She contacted me as soon as it was possible to put me back on. They went through hoops for us and I believe she worked incredibly hard for us to get the refinances reverse. more

Maggie O' Connel from American Pacific Mortgage was very helpful in explaining everything to us. She made sure we understood everything and offered her help if we needed it afterwards. Should there be any problem, we could call her and ask for her advice. I would just tell others not to be afraid to deal with them, and have confidence! more

Maggie and Alicia from American Pacific Mortgage - Reverse Mortgages are Angels on earth! They should get all 5's in everything. That woman Maggie, was truly a godsend. She and Alicia were there for me every step of the way, for every phone call, they met my every need, answered all of my questions, and if they ever needed to call me back, it was within 5 minutes. They spent so much time with me. I couldn't have done it without them. When I first found them, I was desperate, I found them in the phone book. They absolutely stepped up for me. more

I recently got a reverse mortgage on my elderly father's house in Southern California. Working with Maggie O'Connell (and her assistant Alicia Belmares) was great! The service was top-notch, commitments were kept, when something went differently than I was expecting, I was notified. I was so impressed by Maggie's level of knowledge and professionalism, and the personal touch she brought to our interactions. Getting the reverse mortgage was, at times, a very tedious process (with all the documentation that the lender required) but Maggie made it as easy as it could possibly have been. I would give her and her staff an unqualified recommendation! more

Great team to work with! 2/19/2012

I had unexpected hurdles appear in my refi efforts. The highly professional staff was 100 with me and cleared all of them. Communication was terrific. I got full information as to what was going throughout the entire process. My phone calls and emails were always promptly answered. I never met the staff in person. Yet, I always felt a very personalized, respectful connection. I can whole heartedly recommend American Pacific to anyone more

I appreciated that they showed me what my different options with a reverse were, and let me make my own decision. To me, that was the most important thing about working with them, was that they gave me enough information to make up my own mind. more

I absolutely would recommend American Pacific Mortgage and Maggie O'Connell. When I was first thinking of doing a reverse mortgage 9 or 10 years ago, there was very little information in the marketplace. I went to my own bank to sit down and talk with them about it, but they didn't have the answers to half my questions, so that was not good. Then I heard about Maggie and I got in touch with her. It was a good meeting of the minds. She was one of the first to do that kind of mortgage and she obviously knew the business. She had done her homework, and I liked her, so we made a mortgage together. more

After hesitating as to whether we should inquire regarding a reverse mortgage we went ahead and made the phone call (the hardest thing to do by the way!) We were guided through the process with ease and were delighted with all information we received immediately. It was done in a professional manner and so quickly. My husband and I were totally impressed and would highly recommend this mortgage company (and Maggie) to anyone who is looking into this type of mortgage. Thanks again Maggie--- more

Upholds her stellar reputation for honesty and clarity. 10/10/2011

I have known of Maggie O'Connell for at least 10 years and she has a stellar reputation for honesty and clarity whenever she talks to a group. Clarity is the key word. She never misrepresents at all what a reverse mortgage is. She is pleasant and affable, but not pushy or aggressive. She's very responsive to answering any questions a person may have about a reverse mortgage or how it works. I would highly recommend her, not just recommend, but HIGHLY! Of course, she has many, many years of experience. She's not a beginner, she's a mature woman, which is very important, as I'd rather talk to someone with real experience than some 90-day wonder. more

Of all the reverse mortgage sales people i interviewed, Maggie O'Connell was head and shoulders above the rest. 9/27/2011

She was professional, and very patient in her explanations. RMs are quite complicated and need to be clearly understood before signing up. There was no pressure and it was apparent that Maggie sincerely wanted to help. It was with great relief that I signed on and I'm grateful that I made the decision to get a RM, because it has allowed me to stay in the home that I love. maggie gave me the confidence to do it. Another important quality of Maggie is that she is always available to answer any concerns or questions even after going in to the RM. This has meant everything to me and supports the fact that she is not just interested in making a sale,but really wants to help. more
