Just perfect for a couple quick very cold ones after work, even with ""happy hour"" prices. The bartenders sure seem to have fun and enjoy the repartee with the regular customers...

Neighborhood take a dive bar 2/25/2012

A dive bar for sure, where you can go and actually see patrons yelling at the bartender for another beer. Ive never been to a place like this, who does that. The poor bartender trying to do it all because the place is understaffed. And what kind of bar weighs their booze? A bar who has tight ass owners. I went in for a second try and the cute bartender who was suppose to be there is replaced by this a guy. I saw this bartender at safeway down the street a week later and she explained that the boss was unreasonable to work for, that she got accused for things she didnt do and that she cant defend herself because the boss is unreasonable and wont hear of it, tells her shes argueing with him. The turnover rate on bartenders speaks for itself, a patron told me that they go through bartenders like water. All I know is that if you go in there, be prepared to be looked at by old people who have nothing better to do than make you feel uncomfortable and careful if they approach you. The place is full of shady happenings, I saw a few guys getting high there. more

WTF 8/29/2009

greasy fries, fine. draft beer tasted suspiciously watered down...lame! We came to notice most people were drinking bottled beer. Watered down beer, look it's bad enough we live in a country that is full of crappy watered down beer to start with, it's just unfair when bars take it further. Pros: nice dive atmosphere Cons: beer and food more

friendly, local neighborhood dive 8/23/2003

Just perfect for a couple quick very cold ones after work, even with ""happy hour"" prices. The bartenders sure seem to have fun and enjoy the repartee with the regular customers. The backyard facilities for groups include: BBQ for BYO potluck, bleacher seating, soon a large TV for sporting events, picnic tables and chairs. This is also super for avoiding the heavy smoke clouds inside. Stay tuned for additional review of the food but the menu definitely is limited and straight tavern grub. The men's toilet is an anachronism, or just reveals just how old this place is; this tiny space has nice clean ceramic tile walls and floor and a pedestal sink plus an antique brass pull handle on the door. Pros: backyard for groups, inexpensive, very cold beer Cons: rundown & dowdy, very smoky, only street parking more
