Refine Laser & Electrolysis

I have had four under arm treatments and have been happy with my results. Jan and Deb have been very professional and educational through out my whole treatments. I was very scared when I first came in but was so sick of shaving and hated waxing. After my first treatment I had a wonderful break with no hair, then new roots came in and second treatment again those disappeared with in a week and I had no hair again ( wonderful in summer ) this time my hair grew back in thicker - they had told me that a small percent this happens to but that sticking to the program works and to be patient. Well I have had four treatments now and the hair growth is less and smaller and softer. Two more treatments should do it - they said its an average of six for most people. Hey even if its seven for me - I will be happy to finally get rid of the hair. \r \r The results have been good enough and the ladies so great that i decided it was time to do something about the facial hair. I have had just one treatment for that so far but I trust them 100% now and no burns only good results. It took me years to to get up the guts to color my hair so you know I was very worried about doing this. But these ladies put my fears at ease and I know I am under wonderful care. I would recommend them to anyone. It takes more then just a paper degree to be an expert and these ladies are experts in this field just by sheer self education and all the years of experience that they have been doing it. They could easily test out and be Drs for this one area on hair removal. They follow all regulations for safety and have a doctor on staff if needed. The office and everything was clean and they looked professional and were very kind. I will write again when all my treatments are finalized but as of today I am sold on Refine and would recommend it. You don't need to look anywhere else, Refine makes you realize all the others are borderline incompetent compared to them. At Refine you get results, no hassles, flexibility, integrity and of course friendliness. I love them! more

I would recommend Refine to anyone who needs to remove unwanted hair from any body part. They are extremely knowledgable and thorough. I felt very comfortable, even with few clothes on! People are looking for customer service and results. Refine has BOTH!! Being a business owner myself, I'm quite particular when it comes to finding a service. I was given unrealistic guarantees from another hair removal place and that led me to Jan and Deb at Refine. What an AMAZING team of women. They were honest about results and very fair in their pricing. They even offer a free treatment so anyone NOT willing to give them a try is a fool!! They have years of experience and that says a lot in my book! I think the Dr. who did the news story needs a hobby or perhaps a new job. What goes around, comes around! As a member of the media, I think it would be completely ignorant to believe that the story of WCCO was remotely true. The investigative stories air during sweeps month. Simply, they air for one purpose: RATINGS!! I think any rational person can see that the story was sensationalized and was inaccurate. I think that story was a pathetic and juvenile way to deal with competition. Refine Laser is wonderful. They are personal and truly care about their clients. I have recommended them to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so. more

As the Medical Director at Refine, I find it disturbing that a competitor would try using an anonymous reviewer to lie about Refine and portray them as anything but the excellent provider of laser hair treatment that they truly are. Their training and quality care are second to none. Certain dermatologists are attempting to corner the market on spa and laser treatments by manipulating the media, lobbying legislators, and dirty tricks like the posting above in an attempt to charge higher fees for poorer service. They should be ashamed. more

The WCCO report did not say that all doctors should be performing laser hair removal, just as you would not go to whomever to have any type of cosmetic procedure. It would be foolish to go to an ear, nose, & throat specialist to have your hair removed. Having a physician on site &/or a medical director means that when someone gets burned (as these ladies indisputably had done to a client) the client will have resources/lasers/treatments that will resolve the burn &/or hyper-pigmentation; these ladies would only be able to show someone the door. more

I personally know both of these ladies and you couldn't find anyone with more integrity or caring hearts. These 2 really care about people - and have a wonderful gift of encouragement - making you feel valued and special. Their business is about their clients - you are treated as # 1 priority to them!\r I have had several treatments with Jan -- with great results! I was fully informed before my treatments about the process and risks. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company these ladies really know customer service. They are honest, friendly, and knowledgeable in what they do. When I first came to see them I was very unfamiliar with the process but they made sure to go over everything with me and they very much set my mind at ease. I looked into other places and none of them seemed to be as genuine about what they do. You can really get a sense that Jan and Deb have a passion for helping others. As for the thing on WCCO I was really disappointed in the one sided reporting that was done. It doesn?t take a lab coat to make a good laser technician. These ladies have been nothing less then professional each and every time I have gone to see them. I have recommended them many times and I will continue to do so. I wouldn't go anywhere other than Refine for my hair removal; I had 6 treatments done by Refine on my bikini line with great results. They are well-trained & experienced individuals that properly screened me for the relationship between my skin and hair color, medications I was on, etc. They were very upfront, honest and articulate about realistic expectations and results, to which I had very effective results. Beyond that, I felt extremely comfortable there and would recommend their service to anyone. I live out of state now, and fly back to MN from time to time -- if I needed additional hair removal, I would feel most comfortable going back to Refine when I'm in MN than finding a new service in my new state because their service was so outstanding and trustworthy in quality and customer relations. I watched the report on WCCO. I have never had services at Refine, but I do not understand how this person, in sweats mind you, is allowed to laser people. I have had laser hair removal and I know enough to understand that this is a medical procedure, not to be in the hands of individuals who answer ""not much"" to medical training. more

Refine is one of the best places for Laser hair removal, I've had treatments else where, cost big bucks and had no results after 6 times. I went to Jan & Deb and after 3 treatments have had great results, I saw the WCCO report on TV and boy, talk about one sided. If they were doing a real report, don't you think they would have reviewed more than one laser center. I feel that this report was very biased for the BIG Dr. (won't name names), and really he's a dermatologist do you really think he is in every room that they are lasering people, and not treating skin problems! If you want to believe this report, go ahead, but your missing out on great care by some great ladys!!!!!! I also have clients that have been burned by so called DR'sss that know what they are doing, and I refered them to Refine and they are absolutely happy with their results. So, believe the big guy who wants more, or the little people out for the good of others. more

Customer Service at its best. The care providers are honest and forthright about expectations. They educate you upfront about the feasibility of hair removal with respect to your skin and hair color and make recommendations as to whether it is realistic to pursue the treatment. You are made to feel comfortable during the procedure with good conversation. I have fair skin and dark hair and have had tremendous results - starting with course hair and now having only a few fine hairs here and there that I can go in and have zapped at a very reasonable maintenance price. I had my second appointment with Deb. Wow. She is great. She is always very personable and makes you relax with nice conversation. You just feel like they want to take care of you when you walk in the door or call for an appointment. I will definitely be back for hopefully my third and last treatment for a while.
