My life has changed drastically over the last six months with the help and interventions of Dr. Ginsberg and his staff. I have been able to stop gambling and drinking. I am functioning well, thinking clearly, and no longer depressed and anxious. more

A friend of mine recommended me to Dr. Ginsberg. I have fibromyalgia and depression. I was started on new medications which after a couple of months of adjustments helped most of my pain and depression. At first I was scared because he asked me to discontinue Tramadol that was prescribed by another doctor for pain because it could interact with my antidepressant. I am now off addictive pain meds and am hoping to return to work soon. more

I came to Dr. Ginsberg on 20 medications from several doctors. My husband has to give them to me because I cannot keep them straight. After Dr. Ginsberg changed my medications (just the psychiatric) I am doing much better. He was also able to point out conflicts between medications that could have been harmful. more

Dr. Ginsberg was especially thorough-I never had to answer so many questions. He answered every question regarding my treatment- I need to know why I take each medication. more

I came to see Dr. Ginsberg because I remembered he helped some of my distant family members 20 years ago. (My problems are not as severe as theirs.) He was able to get me on track very quickly. more

I am feeling the best I have in several years after my medication was adjusted by Dr. Ginsberg. more

I got horrid side effects from all medicines. Dr. Ginsberg worked with me for several months (@ 8 ) until we found the right combination of meds that worked, then right doses. I've been lined out on these same meds for @ 7 or 8 years now. The only reason I stopped going to him was it was too far, and now I've moved even further away. more

I have been seeing Dr. Ginsberg for 3-4 years for depression and anxiety for medication only, not counseling. The first few sessions I saw Dr. Ginsberg, who prescribed certain medications, changed medications, and adjusted dosages. Thereafter, I saw a nurse practitioner once every three months, who verified that I was doing well on the medications I was taking and at the dosages prescibed. Dr. Ginsberg sees me himself every third visit. Dr. Ginsberg has a very busy practice, with a large staff, including several other psychiatrists, psychologists, registered social workers, etc., plus support staff. He also conducts studies and his waiting room is large, with alot of chairs in it. It can seem caotic, especially in the afternoons when parents bring their children in and some of them get fussy or run around the waiting area. I feel I have received excellant care and am not offended that Dr. Ginsberg doesn't see me personally each visit. more

I have been seeing him for about 7 years. He is not a counselor, someone who you sit with for an hour and tell them all your problems. My first visit he sat with me and I told him all my symptoms of panic attacks and extreme anxiety. He gave me samples before a prescription and ordered blood work to be done for an evaluation. I still have to have blood work for him every 6 mo. I see his nurse who is awesome and never makes me feel rushed. He comes into her room and goes over with me what she had written and always ask if there are any changes in how I am doing. He is straight to the point with me. I dont want a Dr that will just pat me on the back to anything I have say. I pay a Dr to listen, he does, and will not just tell me what I want to hear. more

My son was seen by Dr. Ginsberg for the first time and was diagnosed as having schizophrenia. At first I was in shock because my son is only 12 and is a good student. Deep down I knew that he was schizophrenic because I have another relative with the same diagnosis and symptoms. Dr. Ginsberg went over the symptoms and diagnosis in great depth and also explained why my son did not meet the criteria for 2 other diagnoses. more

I have been Dr. Ginsberg's patient since around the age of 14 and I am now 21. So it's been 8 and I'm still pleased with his practice. His attire may come off as 'unprofessional' but I'm not there to judge him on what he wears. I'm there to get help with my mental disorder(s)...and Ginsberg, with the help of the nurses, have certainly done that.Staff:~the nurses have always been so nice (you sometimes have to see a different one on occasion if the other is running late with appts), but they read your charts and can keep up to date with your previous appts. If you're looking to sit on a couch, discuss how you feel and get the reply of ""how does that make you feel?""..then go to a therapist. Ginsberg's job is to diagnose and prescribe meds. They ask questions that will determine your condition and supply the medicine that will help. He's not for everyone but you shouldn't base your decision on these reviews alone. Make an appointment and decide for yourself. Hope this helps. more

Dr. Ginsberg appeared to be just a regular guy. He was very polite and was nice enough to see me even though I was 20 minutes late. He asked me detailed questions and helped me to realize things about myself that I wasn't even aware of-but were definitely effecting my life. I was not too happy with a nurse practitioner I was assigned to for a follow up visit, and that same day Dr. Ginsberg had his head director nurse call me to solve the situation. I was assigned to someone else right away. I am very happy with Red Oak Psychiatry and I am normally a very picky girl :) would totally recommend! more

I came to your office Nov. 2012 and you advised me to take Deplin-it has changed my life. It has helped my depression. Yes, I have some bad days but most are better. It has also helped my pain which was a surprise. I have to thank you so much. I've been to so many doctors but you helped me very much. the first time I came everyone was super nice to me. That helps a lot when you feel so bad. more

After doing relatively well for a few months I stopped my medication against Dr. Ginsberg's advice. I ended up in the hospital two months later. I was reluctant to return to the office because I screwed up. I did return to get my medication adjusted again and am grateful that I am doing well again. I will never make changes to my medication without consulting the doctor. more
