Superb Food and Very Good Service 3/8/2008

We tried Qazi's last night before heading into a concert at the High Dive. Despite being busy (always a good sign) we were acknowledged as soon as we walked in, then seated and served quickly and efficiently. We really appreciated the free popadoms and chutneys to get us started. We were also delighted to see that for each main course you have a selection of fillings so we opted for the Channa Masala with potatoes, Tikka Masala with Vegetables and two Spinach & Paneer (cheese) nan breads. When the food arrived and we tucked in to our dishes we were wowed with the flavors. The nans were to die for....they alone would make a satisfying lunch. Did I mention the Mango Lassi....very very good. We are curry fans and have eaten Indian food throughout England and many many places in the U.S. We left Qazi's feeling very nourished and highly impressed! One word summed up our experience - EXCEPTIONAL!! We will definitely be back for more next time we are in the Fremont area. more

Qazi's - best Indian in Seattle 7/9/2007

Qazi's is, in my opinion the BEST Indian restaurant in Seattle. The prices have gone up a bit in the past, but it's to be expected, especially in Fremont. Terrific food - particularly the lunch buffet. My favorite is the Dahl Makni (lentil curry) - it is outstanding. more

If you need Indian food quick... 8/7/2006

Qazi's Indian Cuisine is tasty food. The hot tip is the Lunch Buffet weekdays 11-3, Sat&Sun 12-3, all-you-can-eat for $7.95 This is how I was introduced to the restaurant and now I've been enjoying their free delivery (Fremont area) during the dinner (5-10 daily) hours. There are several appetizers, we were not too impressed with the calamari but the Samosas are so yummy. The spiced rices are delicious and I imagine the tandoori breads to be good also. There is a large selection of vegetarian and vegan choices. Seven different curries with choice of veggie, paneer, chicken, lamb, fish or prawn. Also kebabs from the clay oven! Be sure to order your spice level true to size because you'll be sure to get what you order! I've been plenty happy with low to medium and I'm not afraid of some spice. Qazi's is definitely worth a try! more

Never crowded, solid Indian 7/25/2006

I am always wary of Indian restaurants that seem to never be full. In addition, I haven't really found stand-out Indian food in Seattle. However, the smells of freshly cooked naan bread and outdoor seating finally pushed me to try Qazi's. We tried Lamb Saag and the Chicken Vindaloo, both ordered hot. I was especially pleased with the Lamb Saag - the lamb was tender and tasty and the saag curry was tasty and not overly buttery. The decor and service weren't much special, but the food was delivered relatively promptly and I definitely enjoyed the experience. more

Good Indian in a sea of Thai 8/19/2005

When Qazi first opened I was psyched. I love Indian food and this place is pretty good. It’ s not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s close by and was cheap. Now, however, over the past year or so, they’ve raised their prices a bit. The prices are about 8 or 9 bucks an entrée (vegetarian) instead of 6 or 7. Those few bucks are enough to make me decide to go somewhere else. The food is good, but not great – not worth $8-9 a plate. If I had to choose, I would have to say their paneer dishes are my favorite. more
