HORRIBLE WORK-RIPOFF ARTISTS 9/12/2011

These people are the worst. They came two days a week apart without the proper equipment to repair dishwasher, then after another week decided that it should be replaced. After a month they came with the new dishwasher. When they left the dishwasher door did not open properly, they had shoved bits of cotton insulation into the hinge. It is sitting not level and crooked two ways. I called them the same day and they promised to return after the weekend on Monday to fix. I have waited all day again, called at 3pm to find out they did not schedule me for a service call. They will waste days and hours of your time for shoddy workmanship. Very unprofessional company. more

UNRELIABLE COMPANY 9/12/2011

I called was referred to Preway Service Inc through my service contract agreement to repair my leaking refrigerator. I called on a Saturday, was given an appointment for Thursday. I received 2 calls on Tuesday to call and confirm. I called them back on Wednesday to confirm Thursday's appointment. I explained to the woman that I work out of state and would have to take the day off for this repair. She advised me to make the appointment for Friday and to call back on Friday morning at 8am to confirm. Ok by now I am wondering why I have become an operator with all this call back nonsense. I take off Friday from work, call Preway Service Inc at 8am. I am told no one is there until 9am and who told me to call at 8am? I call back at 9am and am told our computers are down and to call back at 10:30am. I call back at 9:30am and am told their computers are down and to call back at 11am. I call back at 10am and they confirm my address and tell me the service person is coming and I am on their list for repairs today. I receive a call at 12:30pm telling me they have to reschedule my appointment. By now I am furious. I asked if they were going to pay me for my day off. They advise me to call the service contract agreement people and see if another repair company could come. I will never refer this company to anyone. They should be shut down for the lies they tell consumers who believe they are serious about providing a needed service. Their rating is a F and they should be shut down. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!! more

Stay away from Preway 8/19/2011

If you would like to have an appliance repaired, find someone else. They refuse to give you an appointment, so prepare to wait all day. When they do show up (late), and the repair is more complicated than they expect, they leave the job undone to go to another appointment. more

Preway Service is HORRIBLE 7/25/2011

I was given a referal/an appt by the company who referred Preway Service (and others) for a a.m. time-frame. I called to confirm the appt w/Preway and the receptionist was rude/short/unprofessional. She tells me that I have to call to find out what time, etc...the appliance is going to be serviced. I told her that I was given an a.m. appt (needless to say I had to wait a week! God forbid it needed to be repaired ""yesterday""). I call the day before the appt and no one picks up (left a voice mail). No return call so I called again. After being told that I should expect someone between 8-Noon; I was then told between 1-4ish. I will NEVER use them again and their receptionist needs some brushing up on Customer Service Skills 101. more

at best dishonest 7/12/2011

Preway charged us for repairing our washing machine even though they did not repair it. They then promised to credit back the 650 dollar charge but never did so, even after repeated calls and repeated promises on their part that the refund was forthcoming. more

Questionable service and rudeness 7/1/2011

Preway replaced the compressor on my refrigerator on Feb 22nd (just 5 months ago). This morning all the food in the fridge was room temperature and had to be thrown away. This is a 6 year old top of the line Jennair. I called Preway and asked the receptionist if she could look up who did the repair and have him call me. She said its against their policy. She said I can speak to the service manager. I said ok. She said I'd first have to schedule a visit and would need to provide my credit card as a guarantee. The next available appointment was Wednesday (today is Friday) - NOT like their website says 24hr availability. I explained that I may not want to wait that long, that I'm pregnant and taking medicine that needs refrigeration. I asked again if I can speak to the service manager. She refused. I explained that if the manager thinks the problem sounds like a compressor again, we would stop throwing good money after bad money on repair and buy a new appliance. I asked nicely again. She refused saying its ""policy"" and demanded that I give her my credit card before she'd transfer the call. I got very upset, told her to scr*w herself and hung up. I'll never use this service again. I called Jennair who recommended them in the first place and filed a complaint and Jennair arranged for another company to come out. No one should have to deal with that rude woman again. more
